Pod was clean and tidy. The description of the property is misleading. No privacy as the pod is at the front of the hosts garden. Kids and dogs playing in the garden beside the pod. The host also requests a further 20 euro for use of the hot tub. This is unacceptable as the pod is already far too expensive for the night stay.

Lovely stay at the Gougane Barra Hotel. We were celebrating our MiniMoon and the staff left a hand written note and some fudge in our room which was a nice touch. Gorgeous view from the room of the lake. Staff were extremely friendly. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were gorgeous. Will certainly be back to do some hiking in the area and will definitely stay here again!

Margaret and Jim are an absolute delight. The house is beautiful with an unmatched view of the sea. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was just perfect. They went out of their way in every possible way to make sure we had a great stay. Helped us find dinner reservations and some wine to drink on the patio overlooking the sea. Even drove us to dinner and helped us get a good cabby for the ride home. Great recommendations for sightseeing. Definitely felt like family.
