Michael and Margaret were super friendly, kind and hospitable. Catered for our vegetarian needs at breakfast and didn't mind in the least when I told them that I broke the (cosmetic) knob on the shower. They gave us some great tourist tips on where to visit and sightseeing driving directions.

This is the best accommodation in Wicklow you can find! What a beautiful home that is extra spacious, warm and cosy. I stayed here with my partner, but it could easily accommodate 3 to 4 people with the second bedroom upstairs. There are 2 living rooms, which made it very nice for lounging around. I particularly loved the huge bath in the main bathroom. Bonus -- I've often found in Ireland that the bath runs out of hot water before it's full .. but there was plenty of hot water here. Also, we highly recommend visiting First Batch Bakery in Aughrim, which is about 10 minutes down the road from the house.

This area won’t be right for everyone.

This area won’t be right for everyone. My husband and I arrived after an extended trip to England and the Isle of Man. We were not in the mood for busy tourist areas. The Town of Aughrim is so sweet, and really gives you an idea of rural Irish life. There were enough things to see in the area for us, such as Avoca Woolen mills, Glendalagh Monestery, Russborough house, and Wicklow Town.

I had car trouble and my phone wasn't working properly they made calls for me and also brought us drinks and allowed us the use of the bathroom after we had checked out and were awaiting the tow truck. Excellent service!

Fine location, very friendly host . Fine Irish breakfast. Just one point to mention for dinner you need to drive a few kilometres further , there is one restaurant (from hotel) in the neighbourhood but have not always free table due to reservation of hotel guests .

I want to go back.

I want to go back. A wonderful old house in the country, not far from Aughrim. Beautiful countryside, amazing views from the house. The house is immaculate and interesting. Svetlana and Jeff have loved this house and it shows. Everything is chic, unique and amazing. This is not a hotel it is a piece of history and is so comfortable. I am going back in the summer to lounge on the deck and watch the sunset over the wicklow mountains.

We went to BrookLodge and Macreddin for a wedding so didn’t explore much of the surrounding area, but from the drive in, it looked beautiful.. once at the hotel we found that to be as equally as beautiful

Martin has an amazing set up, he was an amazing host and very welcoming. The pods were so cozy and comfortable. The view is amazing. It was a lovely spot for a night away. There are kitchen facilities there and communal shower/toilet facilities. There is only one but don’t let that set you back. Very secure and safe place. Will definitely be staying again in the future! Just to note if you’re staying for a little break away there is no food delivery in Aughrim! Be prepared to drive 5 minutes back to the town. Thank you Martin.

The property was not like the photos on Booking.com! Bedroom and bathroom very small The noise from guests showering in the room next door was like they were in our bathroom! Shower was dangerous, slops inside of it they you could slip on very easily. Tiny bathroom, no window and door couldn’t open fully because the sink was too close to it. No plug by the dresser to blow dry your hair Bed too small all hotel double beds should be 6 foot. Breakfast was fine, nice girl waited on us but not a breakfast to be remembered by us.

Location was perfect. We travelled to Aughrim for an inter county football match & walked to the County pitch. Breakfast was exceptional ( cooked fresh after we ordered). The accommodation which was recently tastefully refurbished was so comfortable, spotless & really warm and cosy. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. We also had a detailed tourist guide of the local area from the owner. I would highly recommend this accommodation & I will return in the future.
