Food was excellent, when checking in the member of staff was super helpful and booked us a table for the evening. I'm glad we did because the restaurant was busy even on a week night. Great location in center of town, easy to find and room was perfect. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, they even gave me a VIP pass for Kildare village (10% off voucher) Not far from Dublin, Food and drink was very fairly priced

There was a slight problem with our booking that caused a delay, but the owners were so kind and generous. They were able to resolve the problem and get us into our pod fairly quickly. The pod itself was cozy and quiet. The morning birds chirping were so peaceful. I loved it.

The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated. The shared lounge is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. We didn't interact with staff in person but Rachel sent helpful instructions about the property and everything was clear. It is not easy to spot the entrance from the road, so use the Eircode provided.

Fab stay, lovely owners who left us check in earlier , loved the extras such as treats and toothbrushes. A very good location with a short walk to Kildare village and Kildare town . Would recommend!

    Started our day off in Kildare Shopping Village - we did get some great deals however some of the shops had limited items Stopped at Tree House Sauna, amazing value fro money ad the views from the sauna were breathtaking! Stayed in the Silken Thomas, great value for money, amazing foo & lovely staff!

    quiet well appointed cheerful spotlessly clean with every accoutrement you cd wish for, close to everything, easy parking, super friendly welcome supplies, grand shower with lovely warmth snd pressur, gorgeously fresh bright bed linen …seriously youd be working hard to find any fault here… a bonus is spirited bird chat at various times of day which i reckon is a further sign of a terrific location.

    We were attending a concert in Dublin but did not want to pay Dublin hotel prices so Kildare and the Kildare House Hotel was perfect. We got the Green Bus from Kildare Village into the city center. The Kildare village Outlet was great for shopping the following morning.

    Kildare is a small town, has lovely square with plenty of seating areas. Few shops, and nice cafe's with great food there. 10mins from the Shopping Village if you like shopping. Relaxing and friendly there. Would stay there again.

    We loved it.

    We loved it. Visited the local sites including Japanese Gardens, National Stud farm, Newbridge Silver, shopping Village, local Churches and restaurants lovely. Friendly locals, good shops and mainline bus service from Square. Close to The Curragh too - great spot.

    Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

    Lovely experience at Silken Thomas. It’s located really centrally in Kildare Town but no problems with noise from the pubs. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were excellent. The staff were very attentive and approachable, answering any questions. Our room was very clean, modern and comfortable with a lovely bathroom.

    The bed, duvet and pillows were unreal! So comfortable! Lovely bathroom also! Honestly didn't know what to expect as we arrived to a pub. The rooms are in separate apartments behind the pub so this is not a hotel but a gorgeous room to stay in. Ideal if you are all shopped out after kildare Village. Would absolutely stay again.

    Coffee machine and lots of other goodies to welcome us. Central location. We were able to check in an hour early. Room very tastefully decorated. Lots of towels and very comfortable bed. Lovely deli and restaurant attached with a good selection of wines. 2 minutes to Kildare Village.
