Once a lovely town and getaway from Bombay, Pune has fallen prey to the monstrous and greedy builders and corrupt govt. who leave let unregulated and illegal constructions grow. Years ago, one didn't need to bother about the climate in Pune. Moderate rain, cool winter and bearable summer. Now everything has changed. Still there are a few redeemable spots like an outdoor bar, all day dining in a compound of an old British type bungalow which have managed to keep its head high amongst religious and getaway fundamentalists and bigots.Guest review bySastry - 4.0

It's a nice bustling city which is quite vibrant. The roads infrastructure is very good compared to some other cities of India. There seems to be a vibrant night life. There are a lot of temples to visit though parking can be difficult, would recommend taking a taxi//rickshaw to move around. There a good number of cafe/restaurants/bars to explore. The biggest downside is the bikes population. Most of the bikers don't respect the law and ride recklessly putting their lives and the lives of others at risk. The un-organized bike riding in the city makes driving difficult and stressful.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

I would have liked to have stayed in the Osho retreat center and failing this, to have taken part in it's meditations and other activities. I only got a brief glimpse of the facilities but it looks super special. Pune can be intimidating, like a lot of Indian city's, what with traffic and pollution etc. But the people, especially in the downtown area, seemed very nice.
