Not a touristy town, not much to see in the way of sights - didn't see any other westerners. Maybe this is a good thing! Managed to pick up a few trinkets at the Bangdi Bazaar...good place to find bangles, fabric and trimmings. Not easy to find restaurants so best to eat at your hotel.

Booked Galaxy Hotel from Delhi. My Picking facility was ignored with the pretext that the MD/Sr. Mgr did not see the SMS at 7:15 pm whereas my mobile says he read over the SMS at 05:17pm. So I have to wait for 30 mts in the Airport. Veg restaurant. Good free breakfast, Nice big rooms. Good and simple staffs. you have to tell them that you need. Very cheaper then the quality it gives. Rajkot is a good city with nice people. Only u need to choose hotel/resort very carefully. Motel - The Village (MTV) was a big name once but with its present management and staff, it has become the worst place ever. They are very unprofessional and do not keep their words. I recommend any other hotel/resort in Rajkot but never MTV. There are some good resorts like, Nirali, Lagoon, etc and many other budget hotels as well as star hotels in the city. This city is surely to b visited once for its charm.

The food and shopping is brilliant! Many bargains can be found in stores like Resham and Lady Zeal. Ram and Shyam is a must for ice gola lovers or head to Desserts and Shakes for some amazing ice cream! Sadhana Bhel off Dr Yagnik Rd is also worth a visit for some cheap but delicious street food!! Taxis are hard to find so prepare to flag down an auto and try to speak in Gujrati and have the location which you want to travel to handy on a map!! The malls weren’t brilliant but you can find stores like Revlon, Body Shop and Trends in Reliance. Crystal Mall is largely closed down but has BB Nation onnthe top floor for any non veg lovers. Not a great deal of tourist attractions or night life as it is a dry state but a must go to for anyone who wants to experience true Kathiyawad!!!

Excellent shoppjng for indian clothes and jewellery very good choice and reasonable compared to mumbai and ahmedabad. Food is also very good..especially the chatpata street food and snacks like tikha mora and ganthiyas and bhajiyas @Mayur bhajiya..Imperial Palace also has great food..Rajkit is Also a centre point /base for many pilgrim spots and religious shrines like dwarka ,somnath, chotila , girnar and many others. Funworld is a nice place to visit with kids at the race course. However autorickshaws though easily available have no meters and can charge exorbitant amounts. Be sure to negotiate beforehand.

So i cant complain about rajkot but the hotel stay was not good and we booked the hotel which we stayed last time but on trivago they booked the hotel with same name which was not the same and was very bad and was besides the hotel bhabha king stone which we stayed prior to this and was good and trivago did not even show option that there were 2 of the same with the same name besides each other.
