Featuring a golf course and outdoor hot tubs, this contemporary hotel offers unique opportunities to relax among the lush landscape of Húsafell. Free WiFi access is available. We stayed for one night in the king suite while on our honeymoon & it was wonderful! The room was large & clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We especially loved the small seating area outside of the room, which would have been perfect for seeing the Northern Lights had it been a clear night. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on site. The dinner menu was small, but food was delicious & serving staff was delightful.

Beautiful house. Very secluded and private. The hot tub outside on the deck is great. Good facilities for family meals. My family wanted to stay at home....
Hrísmóar has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Reykholt. The location, the hot tub, and everything in general. We went there to celebrate our aniversary and it was very romantic, the perfect place to be alone, isolated and have privacy. The soroundings were very beautiful, it was summer, so everything was so green.
Sumarhúsin Signýjarstöðum features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Reykholt. The accommodations feature a hot tub. Great location, cosy cabin in the middle of the nature, good privacy, the hot tub was awesome, especially in the evening and warm enough. The kitchen facilities were enough and good car parking next to your own cabin. You could just take the key out, so you can come whenever you want. Really nice. Just a little cosy space to spend the night, with magical views with the snow. We saw the northern lights from outside the hot tub, Really cool! And we had a little dog visiting from the neighbours. 🙃 We really loved this place!
Dating back to 1828, this family-run farm in West Iceland offers bright rooms with country-style décor. Facilities include a guest kitchen, TV lounge and terrace with outdoor hot tub. Great location - lovely view of the quiet countryside, but also easy driving (<20 minutes) to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss and some restaurants. Guesthouse was very nice, well appointed, and clean. The owners were polite and helpful and breakfast was good. The dog was a sweetie. The hot tub was lovely, overlooking the countryside with a clear window to cut the wind. It was very hot and I couldn't stay in it too long, but I enjoyed it.
Fosshotel Reykholt is only a few minutes’ drive from the hot springs of Deildartunguhver and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. It offers free parking and WiFi. For me, this was pure luxury. Arrived after some days camping in the Highlands. Nice, warm cozy room with private bathroom and an electric kettle to make coffee. The bar and restaurant was actually open😀, the and for ones I was not the only guest. Made a last minute booking when I got a good price on the room.
Located in Reykholt in the Vesturland region, Kópareykir Cottage has a terrace and garden views. Rebecca Rebecca Rebecca Such a wonderful nice welcoming from Rebecca. We really enjoyed staying in the farm! It's more than a cottage - It's home!! Equipped with everything you need for your family. Highly recommended
Comfortable hotel in beautiful vicinity of glaciers and ice caves. Helpful and friendly staff. I didn' try the swimming pool but it looked perfect. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
Húsafell is a paradise for me! Set out in such a peaceful setting in Western Iceland, you cannot beat it. You might think that you are on you way to the middle of nowhere on your drive out, but that is also the beauty of it. Crisp clean mountain air, the quiet of the Icelandic countryside and the clearest water in streams that you have ever seen. The numerous hiking trails around Húsafell will surely keep you occupied and fit while on your visit, because you will see so many amazing things while on each trail that you want to keep on going. This is also a great place to go to just relax. My wife and I came out here right after our wedding to unwind and it was perfect! Both of us got the much needed rest that follows a destination wedding. The first night we relaxed at the Hotel Húsafell and enjoyed a wonderful dinner in their restaurant and then took a very relaxing walk in on the trails surrounding it afterwards. We also enjoyed the Bruaras Cafe in the GeoCenter for locally prepared and sourced fare. Try their Icelandic meatballs! You cannot just have one order of them! Also in the area you have the tours of both the glacier and lava cave. These are some great guided activities you can arrange through your hotel. I also recommend going over to the Barnafoss falls in the area for some amazing waterfalls.
The hotel itself was wonderful. Beautiful views from the restaurant and the sleeping rooms were very clean and cozy. The location was a bit off the beaten path which is one of the reasons we were drawn to it to get out of the more touristy areas. There’s a beautiful waterfall just down the road. The hotel’s hot tubs were great after a long day’s hike.
Not much to do in this area. There's the ice tunnel excursion and geothermal baths at hotel husafell. The baths were under construction while we were there so can't speak to those. Bummer! Snowmobiling to the glacier tunnel was fun. I'd recommend, but spend 1 day and get out bc the rest of the country shouldn't be missed!
The room was very clean and comfortable, the bed excelent and the bathroom nice with pleanty of space, both shower and a tub. The staff was nice and helpful and the restaurant has high standard. Breakfast buffet was standard with all the usual offerings. It is nice to have a swimming pool, we tried floating, ask for that at the pool. Last but not least the location of the hotel is incredible and near to attrations.
