Upon arrival my son and I were greeted by a very sweet employee. The room was clean and we had a very nice view over the lake. The room had a nice size. There is a gasstation just next door to the hotel. We stayed for two nights because it was close to Thingvellir Nationalpark. We didn't buy breakfast here, so I can't say if it was any good.

Great and comfortable one night stay, in a beautiful environment! Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Cosy rooms. We were attending a wedding near by and was nice to come ‘home’ to a comfortable bed :) Would stay again!

EVERYTHING! We had 2 weeks in Iceland and travelled around the country. We stayed in 5 different locations, all special and unique. But Gljásteinn was a little corner of paradise. Róbert built his house with so much passion and love and respect for the nature around it, it is very impressive. He was there to guide us, to give us some good tips about where to eat, what to explore, and the whole experience was simply wonderful.
