We had an absolutely amazing time here! The little beach just below the property down the stairs is a true hidden gem, it’s peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect spot to relax and swim. The location is near Varenna but still relaxed and quiet. The apartment itself is super charming, with everything you need. The balcony is lovely, perfect for breakfast in the morning. The village is also cute and full of character. What really made our stay unforgettable was the host. He was always available and incredibly kind. When we had unexpected car trouble, he totally helped us. We would come back in a heartbeat. This place is a real treasure!

Highly recommend Villa Mari! It was extremely comfortable and well equipped with stunning views from the terraces and garden. Host Luca couldn't have been more helpful. Dervio itself is a lovely little village with several shops and restaurants within walking distance, a train station 10 minutes walk from the villa, and a ferry terminal from which you can reach Varenna, Bellagio and Mennagio within an hour or so. There are more ferries from Bellano and Varenna, both of which are a short train ride away. We had a wonderful time!

Staf was great and helpful, cleaning staff was great and...

Staf was great and helpful, cleaning staff was great and helpful also, the rooms were large and clean, there could be more amenyties like more pots and better glases, wine glases were OK other could be better, same goes for plates, there were no kitchen towels for drying the diahes, but this is just a recommendation that did not affect our stay. It is a great accomodation.

We have friends who live in Dervio and visit every few years...

We have friends who live in Dervio and visit every few years. It is a charming town, has most necessary amenities (parks, restaurants, gas station, grocery store, our favorite pizza place) and is situated on Lake Como with a lovely walking path along the lake. It's not as hectic and crowded as many towns on the east coast of Lake Como. It's a good place to stay for a peaceful overnight with easy access to the more touristy places during the day.

Dervio is a small quiet town with friendly people.

Dervio is a small quiet town with friendly people. Sail boating is very famous here and people from all over the world come here for that during the season. The restaurant Urban Fish by the lake is run by locals and is recommended. There was a wine tasting festival with live music and visit to the family wine cellars when we were there in mid September.

As we stayed in winter, we didn't expect to find so many...

As we stayed in winter, we didn't expect to find so many restaurants closed in the evening. Fortunately we found one opened 30 minutes away driving. Quiet small town, good to relax or trekking. After we explored the area other cities around were also interesting and some prettier. Dervio is good to stay and relax while visiting other cities around the lake Como.

Very nice and quiet apartment! Perfect place to discover the Como lake. Perfect hospitality and very nice and clean apartment. In the front of the house the Italian traditional shop with the very good Italian food. The apartment is high recommendable !!!! Thank you

Many people go to Como town to see the Como lake.

Many people go to Como town to see the Como lake. But in Dervio you can find much more magnificent view on the lake and the mountains. You can also experience some water activity and enjoy the nature without so many tourists

The villa is an authentic Italian villa with big rooms and balcony. The view from the balcony is nice - not exactly next to the lake, but the lake and mountains are still visible. The location is good - the village is quite and small, but still there are restaurants and shops not far from the villa. We travelled with car, so getting to Varenna village, which is not far from the Dervio and has more tourist options, was also not a problem for us. Garden is also very nice and beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The apartment is located in a nice isolated part from Dervio, but easy to access by car. Village is 5 minutes by car, with supermarkets and the train station nearby. The views from the balcony and the community swimming pool are amazing. Apartment is modern and exceptionally clean, has all the facilities and is very comfortable. The treatment from the host was excellent, very friendly and helped us with all the details necessary on our arrival and departure. We will definitely come back at some point!

Great accomodation in Dervio, highly recommended. Tastefully decorated appartments with fully equipped kitchens. We appreciated the free parking spots since parking can be a challenge in Italian towns. Close enough to the train station, ferry station and some restaurants. Excellent communication with the host who gave us some great tips about what to see and where to eat. Wonderful and spacious courtyard to relax.

Beautiful apartment in the centre of Dervio, on Lake Como. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need for your stay. It has been recently refurbished and it keeps tracks of the past use of the building as a ice house (giazzera). The hosts are absolutely lovely and happy to give suggestions of places to visit nearby. Strongly recommend, we will definitely be back!
