Great place to stay if you want to visit Venice on the cheap. There was a lovely pizzeria down the road called 'Pizzeria Al Calesse'. They did the best pizzas and Italian food we eat on our stay. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. Great value and amazing food. Hotel Roma was where my partner and I stayed.
Hotel Roma was where my partner and I stayed. We felt it was perfect for what we came to Marghera for - to visit Venice. If you want to stay close to Venice, but not actually IN Venice, this hotel was perfect for that. It's a 1-2 block walk away from the closest bus stop to get you in/out of Venice without the hustle and bustle of a tourist hotspot. The location, that is in a quiet neighborhood, which is comfortable for senior people and is a walkable distance from the train station. Also close there are some supermarkets, there is a bar where you can buy the transport tickets for Venice and the bus stop for going to Venice, to the Piazzale Roma is located like 5 min walking from the hotel.
