Passalacqua is just flawless. Everything about the property is jaw-dropping - first the lovely lake views, and then the lavish decor. The details are outstanding - from the signature scent to the flowers and Christmas music, a cozy and elegant environment is created, in the form of a true winter wonderland. Every single staff member is very polite and friendly, going out of their way to make your stay perfect. My husband and I, on our honeymoon, received a very warm welcome and even a room upgrade. We were initially thinking of taking the ferry to explore nearby towns, but were so fascinated by Passalacqua that we decided to just spend our three days enjoying the lovely views. Not even the low temperatures deterred us from enjoying our stay thoroughly. We had both the formal dining experience and the bar food, and both were great. Our thanksgiving dinner was particularly flawless, with both great food and an unforgettable reception with live piano music. Breakfast was also unbelievable- Passalacqua has an amazing selection, and the staff is absolutely amazing at making you feel at home. We were constantly asked if we needed anything, and all of our needs were instantly catered to. The spa was also a highlight. We were given an amazing tour of the installations and had a blast at the newly inaugurated indoor pool. Overall, this was a memorable experience and made our honeymoon unforgettable. We sure hope to be back in the future.

The apartment was AMAZING! The view of lake Como was breathtaking, I cannot imagine a better place with such a good view of the lake. Lorenzo (our host) was such a friendly person, he picked us up from the station, even stopped at a grocery store so that we could buy some food for breakfast :) he gave us lots of tips and tricks of getting around Como, he was extremely welcoming and helpful, I have never met a host who loves what he does as much as Lorenzo! The apartment was very clean and it had everything you need for a short stay (coffee, tea, pans, iron, hairdryer, etc.). The apartment is located in a very calm little town, not a lot of people (in September), it’s very high up so there’s lots of stairs to climb to get to it, but the view is definitely worth it. Bus stop is a short walk away, where you can catch the C10 bus and get to towns around Como.

Lovely place at Como Lake! Great host who offered also a garage near the house for small fee extra. It was so nice we found a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge as welcome! Up stairs the house is a really great bar ‘Centrale’ were you can enjoy with the locals an amazing view on the Como Lake. The host also renting boats unfortunate we stood only 1 day but we definitely will come back!

Friendly welcome from Dino, who helped us getting settled and gave some good tips on what to do! The appartment has an adorable view upon the lake, the terrasse underneath the wineleafs is perfect for a cosy dinner or just a glass of wine! The kitchen is well equipped! The surrounding area of this old village is really nice, a bar and a little shop just round the corner are great! Busstation is only 10 mins away!

The only drawback for us was that we are quite old and it was a place where you needed to walk up hills to get anywhere. We have slight mobility problems. However there was a local bus that stopped outside the hotel and you could sightsee from the lake steamers.

We enjoyed Moltrasio very much: it is a great location and...

We enjoyed Moltrasio very much: it is a great location and all the locals we encountered were very friendly. It is not a tourist hot-spot. Moltrasio has several very good restaurants which are reasonably-priced and a couple of excellent local cafes. We are fit, older people and we loved our daily walk up the 300 steps to the best cafe Restaurant with sensational views, "Al Centrale", in Moltrasio, The ferries stop at Moltrasio often which is very important for planning your trips around Lake Como. Moltrasio is not crowded even though we were there at the peak of Summer.

It is one of the quieter towns of Lake Como.

It is one of the quieter towns of Lake Como. A bit difficult to get to other towns especially if the fast service of the ferry is not running but for the value we got on our hotel, it was worth it. We even stayed an extra night to take advantage of the lake more.

A lovely historIc village close to Como Town but far enough...

A lovely historIc village close to Como Town but far enough away to feel its own place. Lots of stone and waterfalls as steep hills rise from the waterfront. The main lake road bypasses leaving the town area less busy (though still busy enough!). The ferry is frequent and reasonable. There are top class and basic but stylish bistro restaurants all within a small area. Those up the hill have overarching views, those on the waterfront the scene on the water. Ferry to Como Town is quick (15 mins) but it is much further to the mid lake towns and attractions.

Moltrasio is accessible by Ferry and easy to get to all the other places on Lake Como without being with lots of tourists. There is a lot of history, great walks and stunning views. There are enough restaurants to Choose from. We stayed two night but would have liked at least another night.

Moltrasio is a small town on Lake Como.

Moltrasio is a small town on Lake Como. It has great access to other towns on the lake via ferry. there a few restaurants but it is quite quiet so if you are looking for more of a night-life, you might be better suited to a larger town or city like Como. the views of the lake from the hotel (Darsena di Riva Grande) are breath-taking and there is nothing better than jumping into the lake on a hot, sunny day. We would go back to Moltrasio and visit other towns like Torno and Bellagio next time.

This is a lovely compact villa above the village of Moltrasio. It is easy to find and there are two parking bays opposite which are very useful as the on-street parking is very full. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were fitted out well, although a few more lights would be useful. The pool looked inviting, and I'm sure would be very welcome in the summer. It was a perfect place for a short break with friends.

The hotel is fantastic, super well located in the calm and relaxing Moltrasio. Staff were the highlight for us, very welcoming and attentive, we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel for the 2 nights we stayed and everything was impeccable. Room was super clean and comfortable! Will definitely come back.
