It was very nice that the receptionist waited for us once we notified her that we could arrive only after the regular check in hour. She was very kind and welcomed us warmly. The hotel is situated next to the main road but it was still quiet. We got a beautiful large bright room with a balcony as well as a kettle. The bathroom was very clean and modern. Beds were really comfortable. Coffee was great and the breakfast was exceeding the Italian standard. We liked it!

Hotel Ocelle Thermae&Spa (Adults Only)

Hotel Ocelle Thermae&Spa (Adults Only)

Sirmione

Offering an indoor thermal pool and a seasonal outdoor pool, Hotel Ocelle is in Sirmione. Located just 2133 feet from Sirmione castle, it includes a hot tub, garden, and bar. Brilliant location, beautiful facilities, and outstanding staff. Upon arriving at Desanzano train station we were promptly picked up in a beautiful Mercedes S-Class ( even though I hadn't arranged a pick-up prior). When approaching the hotel it was clear that it was a notch above the rest. Not a single hotel/property on the way into Sirmione had the cleanliness and modernism that Ocelle provided. Beautiful waterfall walls guide you into the property (once you've passed a Lambo or two!), only to be greeted by a lovely front desk staff. The front-desk sraff spoke english very well, and went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated. The room was beautiful, clean, and well-designed. It offered enough comfort to sleep-in and get a lazy start to the day, while also ushering you to go enjoy the beauty outside its walls in Sirmione. The free breakfast was impeccable, and the grounds and facilities were 10/10. The spa, pool facilities, and outdoor beach area were 5 star experiences without a doubt. The spa alone could keep you coming back for more. Thanks to the staff, specifically to Partina for making our stay so special.

Amazing family hotel with wonderful, welcoming hosts Daria and Pier. Daria went out of her way to make us feel welcome, helped us with information and recommendation on restaurants and places to visit in Sirmione. Rooms are brand new, spacious, and impeccably clean, with very comfortable beds. Breakfast at the hotel is great with variety of food served and hotel staff member Elena was wonderful. Hotel is perfectly located, within 15 minute walk to the Old City. We were able to use hotel bikes, which made our stay in Sirmione even more fun. Also, the restaurant within the hotel is very popular and is packed with customers in the evening. The food and specialties made by Pier himself were amazing.

Lake Views from Every Angle

On a narrow peninsula protruding into Lake Garda, Sirmione is a wonderful town famed for its multi-turreted castle, Roman remains and hot springs.

The 13th-century lakeside castle makes quite an impressive sight as you cross its drawbridge to enter the old town beyond. From its walls there are lovely views of red-roofed buildings towards the trees hiding the ruins of a huge villa that belonged to 1st-century BC Roman poet Catullus. Part of the complex included baths featuring the thermal waters, and the town still has a spa today on the opposite side of the promontory.

Nearby is the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with its 15th-century frescoes, and the surrounding narrow, cobbled streets are home to stone buildings and several Sirmione hotels on Lake Garda. The majority of hotels are mid-range, but there are still a few 4 and 5-star hotels in Sirmione to choose from.

Booking.com also has lots of accommodations by the lake in the newer part of town, and its Lugana Vecchia area has a UNESCO World Heritage-listed prehistoric site.

To the west of Sirmione is the lakefront town of Desenzano del Garda, while to the east is Peschiera del Garda, close to the Gardaland and Canevaworld theme parks. The nearest airport is Verona Catullo Airport to the southeast.
