Situated in Fujinomiya, less than 1 km from Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, Kuretake Inn Premium Fujinomiya features rooms with air conditioning. With the hotel being located directly across the road from the train and bus stations it is the ideal spot to base all your local travel from. The staff are helpful and were willing to store our bags while we explored the area before checking in. The rooms were quite spacious (compared to other hotels) which was a welcome surprise There are lots of handy little izakaya’s in the immediate area as well.
Conveniently located a 2-minute walk from JR Fujinomiya Station and a 20-minute drive from Tomei Expressway Fuji Interchange, Fujinomiya Fujikyu Hotel features free WiFi and coin launderette. Right next to bus and train station, very helpful staff. A lot to see in walking distance also.
Situated in Fujinomiya, 1.2 km from Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, スーパーホテル富士宮 features a spa and wellness centre. The property is set 6 km from Taiseki-ji Temple. You could grab your own amenities in the front lobby! they also had lots of samples, and they were clear that the reason for providing optional samples was for environmental sustainabilty purposes, which was cool.
Guest House Tokiwa offers dorm beds and affordable Japanese-style private rooms, free WiFi, a shared lounge and a shared kitchen. Located in Fujinomiya City, the closest town to Mt. Loved this property, family run business. Trips to Mount Fuji every morning for 500 yen, family dog an absolute pleasure
Featuring a bar, shared lounge, garden and free WiFi, Guest House Mt.Fuji Kikusui is located in Fujinomiya, 200 metres from Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine and 9 km from Taiseki-ji Temple. Apparently the guesthouse used to be a more traditional kind of ryokan or inn, built in the 50’s if I’m remembering the information correctly. It has been renovated to be more modern but has kept the charm of the original building. There are all sorts of little places to discover in it and the main lounge area was awesome. A great bar area for evening drinks, a dart board and other games if torrential downpours prevent you from wandering around the area (they did, in the evening) and a nice bath to soak in, but remember to grab a time slot.
Guesthouse Face to Face is a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Fujinomiya Station. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. You will find a kettle in the room. This hostel is very well and near to train station, it’s so convenient. The hostess is so kind. She bought gifts for me before I leave.

Everyone in town is very friendly, most don't speak English but are very happy to help out where needed. Translator app or book will be very handy. Everything in town is close together, so access to shops and restaurants is very easy. The view of the mountains is amazing. Mt Fuji is very close. Easy access to train station and Fuji is very close.
This is a perfect town to enjoy Mt. Fuji. Makaino Farm, Lake Tanuki and Shirato Fall are awesome. We had rented a car with Toyota Rent a Car in Fujinomiya. It's very easy and fun to drive in/around the town.
We loved Fujinomiya. It’s pretty quiet, but once we got our bearings and a few tips from our accommodation hosts we had great meals. Can easily see Fuji san. Close to Shrirato falls, and we drove up to Fujinomiya 5th station. The gem of the town is the Fuji World heritage centre. We could only spend a little over an hour there, well worth the visit to understand Fuji better. Easy JR access. Highly recommend and would guess a less crowed way to get to see Fuji, than travelling from Tokyo.
Fujinomiya is a small town dedicated to climbing Fuji-San and taking advantage of the many parks and open spaces that offer hiking. Public transportation is good to other villages. It is not pretentious, the people are quiet and gracious The museum on Fuji-San is amazing - a must see even if you do not climb
A beautiful and serene place, fried noodle (yakisoba) really tasty. Fujisan World Heritage Center is worthy to visit. There is a fountain in Sengen Taisha (Kuwatama Ike), the water comes out from Fujisan, it's also tasty.
There might not be much to do in this city, but it is one of the places to start a hike of Mt Fuji (summer season) or of you want a close up view of this holy mountain (other time of year). There's a nice shrine dedicated to the mountain and also the Mt Fuji world heritage centre. You should try the Fujinomiya yakisoba and the shiro-ramen (reted number 1 in Shizuoka prefecture).
Our family loved our stay in this beautifully renovated traditional Japanese home. Very comfortable, located close to the train station and places to eat. Toshi is a wonderful host, providing us with a map and things to see & do for our short stay. It really was a welcome relief from the big cities of Japan & Mt. Fuji was absolutely magnificent to see on the beautiful clear day we had in Fujinomiya!
The guesthouse is located close to the station. Inside it feels like a (japanese) home, the host is kind. Rooms upstairs are spacious, shower is comfortable. The staff have thought of everything you could possibly need. Highly recommended to stay here if you’re planning on seeing/climbing Mount Fuji.
Amazing hosts!!! It’s worth coming only to meet them, they are the best. They drove us to where we wanted to go and showed us around all over Fujinomiya. I will definitely stay here again when I come back
It’s amazing here right next to the temple. An original style Japanese inn for travelers. Close to Fuji and all the local sightseeing tours. E bikes for rent and beautiful scenery.
Staff are very nice. Room is very clean. Breakfast are delicious. Location is great, just cross the road from JR fujinomiya station and also close to Aeon mall, 7-11
Right next to train station and bus station to Mount Fuji. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast :)
The place is close to Fujinomiya Station
Very clean and comfortable hotel.
