The Peace Memorial Park and the tributes to children and peace are beautiful and touching. The temple at Itsukushima is really fun to visit, especially when you consider you can only walk around the huge front gate when the tide is low. The Peace Memorial Museum is intense but necessary to remind us all of the danger of the production and use of nuclear weapons. The Okonomiyaki was the absolute best!
A great place to get a snapshot of one of the resiliency of mankind. The Children's Peace Memorial serves as a reminder that in war, innocent civilians specially women and children, suffers the most. We all can do better to make the world a peaceful and welcoming place.
Definitely start out visiting the peace memorial park and museum. I would dedicate at least half a day and go with an open mind and empathy. Very moving memorial. We then spent the rest of our time on rented electric bikes just getting lost and exploring the city. We biked down to the port and found a great place called Flex Gallery which had the coolest furniture and house hold goods but the best was its coffee shop where you can sit on a huge bed while you drink your coffee overlooking the water. We biked along all of the canals and the city has a great biking infrastructure. Rented from Peacecycle for 1500 yen for the day- staff was super nice. As for food, we went to this place called Okonomiyaki Yakeppachi which was AMAZING. They have an English menu too. We also checked out the Okonomiyakimura place for lunch- pick any place they're all good!
Hiroshima is a place one must visit. The stories of innocent people who suffered from the atomic bomb bring tears to ones eyes. Museum is nicely done and will give you a real feeling about the devastation.
Beautiful city with an extremely moving museum and park dedicated to the victims of the atomic bomb. Also an eye opening educational experience about the consequences of nuclear weapons. This should be on everyone’s itinerary when visiting Japan.
A very peaceful and serene city of very less population. I loved the environment of the city and looks to be a perfect city to settle in. People are very friendly and transportation is very smooth to any places nearby.

Great location, just a few minutes' walk across a river from the Peace Park (with a nice Starbucks across the road - up an escalator - on the way to the Peace Park), and only a few minutes from a bus-stop on the shuttle-bus loop operated by Japan Rail (free for JR Pass holders) from Hiroshima Station. AND staff were lovely and facilities spotless, as in every Japanese hotel we stayed in. 🙂 Another plus: there's a vehicle courtyard at front, and we always found an available taxi waiting.

I loved how clean it was, the facilities and the breakfast were great. The location was so amazing I'd definitely stay at there for the location again. Far from the station but easy enough access to the astramline and overhead railway to get to Hiroshima station, ¥1200 in a taxi isn't bad either. Felt open 24 hours and there was alcohol for sale which was great in a hotel. Loads of great restaurants and shops nearby with a simple walk to the main high Street *and anime shops yay*

The location of the property was excellent! Really close to the Peace Memorial Park, to many streetcar stops and to many convenience stores and restaurants. As usual in Japan, the staff didn’t speak English very well but was really nice and polite, always trying to do their best to help us. Another highlight of the hotel was the breakfast with many options of local and western food. Plus: the breakfast was served on the top floor with a really great panoramic view from Hiroshima.

The location is actually pretty convenient. You can take street car from Hiroshima station and get of at M5 (Kanayama Cho Station) which will cost you ¥180 per person one way. The hotel is right across the station. The size room is average for Japanese hotel (maybe rather small for foreigners). The room is clean and neat. There is convenient store on the left side of the hotel. And walk down further the street, you will find some stores like Mitsukoshi, Labi (Yamada denki) and Muji.

Central location if you're just visiting the memorial sites, atomic bomb dome etc and Hiroshima castle, it is all within walking distance. There are many restaurants and shopping facilities located by the hotel. I didn't use any form of transport but the hotel is opposite Kanayamacho tram stop if needed. Room was clean and tidy. Range of nice shampoos etc cannot say anything negative about Japanese bathroom facilities. Superb!!! 👍

Luxurious hotel, our room had an amazing view of Hiroshima from the 22nd floor, excellent staff and service on all counts. We were able to check in an hour earlier than the usual check in time because the room was ready, which I very much appreciated. The hotel is part of a mall with a whole restaurant floor which we made full use of. Walking distance from the A-Bomb memorial dome/park area.

Excellent location connected to the railway via a bridge. Also great views from the building as the hotel is located atop a high raise. The free breakfast buffet was also a nice surprise We came from another Daiwa Hotel in Kyoto and had forgotten an item in our room there but the staff in Hiroshima had it send over in 24 hours and helped us perfectly.

The location was excellent. Sheraton was just next to Hiroshima station linked by a covered passageway. The station houses a large mall filled with eateries and links to many other malls. Such a location facilitated tremendously traveling by train and other public transport. The free use of the hotel gym was much appreciated.
