A little ways from Enoshima, this hotel was the perfect location to enjoy various regions in the area. We were able to visit Enoshima attractions, were still on the beach front and a very short tram ride to main attractions in Kamakura. The venue itself was beautiful and very comfortable, providing both a luxurious and homely feel. The bar and restaurant are gorgeous and the room was very large by Japanese standards. The breakfast was a highlight for us.

The rooms were comfy and all amenities (incl extra pillows) were available. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Bed was big by Japanese standards - comfy too. Short 5 minute walk from Kamakura station and buses, as well as local restaurants and convenience stores. Short 12 minute walk to the beach.

Kamakura Prince Hotel, BIRD HOTEL, and Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Kamakura.
We loved our day in Kamakura! Our hotel (Kamakura Prince Hotel) overlooked both the sea and Mt Fuji which was incredible. We used the Enoden to get around but mostly walked. We ate lunch by the beach, visited Kotoku-in and even went inside the Buddha (so interesting to see what it looked like inside!), then took a walking trail to Zeniarai Benten shrine which was beautiful. We didn't get to go to Enoshima unfortunately, but had a lovely time aside from that!
Beautiful shrines that are easy to access either by foot or by train. Such a lovely town with wonderful cafes and shops and restaurants. Beach is awesome too....even just to look at or to watch surfers.
Nice area with some tourist attractions - but most of the touristy parts are around Kamakura station. If you go up to see the Buddha and Hase Temple, there are less tourist-style shops despite being the main attractions of the area. The tourist shops around Kamakura itself are nice but the same fare you get in the rest of Japan - cute textile items made in Japan, yukatas, 'instabae' cafes and matsuri-style food. I would personally say the Great Buddha is somewhat underwhelming, but Hasedera is one of the loveliest temples I've been to in Japan. It's easy to get between Kamakura and Hase using the Enoshima electric railway, and there are several beaches in the area. We personally went to Yuigahama which seemed like a nice family beach - drinking alcohol isn't allowed - unlike Enoshima beach, which is often full of drunk young people. I am often a young drunk person too, but the types of people at Enoshima beach are likely to get drunk and try to 'nanpa' (pick up) young women. Instead, Yuigahama had many families and young couples and a good security and lifeguard presence. Along the whole coast of Kamakura and Enoshima, be careful of the birds (specifically crows and black kites) as they may try to steal food. Many crows were rifling through people's, whereas a kite stole an ice cream right out of my hand.
This very charming and picturesque old Capital of Japan is situated between mountains on one side and the beach with Enoshima island on the other side. The old history and culture is present almost everywhere with lots of beautiful buildings, temples and shrines. Ideal for a couple of days sightseeing close to Tokyo and lovely walks along the beach. Make sure to visit Hasedera Temple, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Enoshima.
Many traditional places are in walking distance. It was nice walk to see around. Komachi street was also great to see and The Mameshiba cafe was great!!! Restaurants there were a bit pricey but worth to pay.
One of my favorite cities!Kamakula is peaceful and nice even there are the tourists from all over the world. The temples are beautiful, many old and good looking trees there. There are old buildings from shogunate everywhere.Food is good too.Local people are polite and friendly like other places of japan,of course.Anyway deserve to go for a few more times.
Kamakura
Bushi is a wonderful host and speaks great English if you need it. We enjoyed eating breakfast at the guesthouse every day. They can make you a vegetarian breakfast if you request one ahead of time. The staff are all very friendly and we had a wonderful stay. Bushi was even willing to make a phone call for us to our next hotel to check something for us (in Japanese since we did not speak the language).
Kamakura
Nice traditional hotel of Japan style, feels like a guest home cuz guests are young and friendly but everyone have their room. The staff is enthusiastic and adorable, connecting me one day in advance to show the way and check-in method. There’s also a beatiful yard and suit to take a rest with Japanese wooden sandals. If there are dispose toothbrushs, toothpastes and shavers it could be better.
Kamakura
we stayed in unit number five, which was like a little one-bedroom apartment, and it was such a nice break from typical hotels during our travels in Japan. It’s a bit of a puzzle to find the place, but well worth it, and we enjoyed, figuring out the different routes between SHELL And other parts of town. Our unit was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed it fully.
This is a wonderful hotel. It is an elegant place in the heart of town, a very easy walk from the train station. We had a lovely family room with bunk beds. There are lovely amenities, a restaurant for breakfast if you like, and the staff is very helpful and kind. One of our favorite places we stayed on our trip.
Comfortable modern hotel right in the center of Kamakura. The only hotel during our two week stay in Japan that let us check in before 3pm. I loved the layout of the room with seating area and bathroom/shower room. The hotel was close to the station and the shrine and an easy walk to the beach.
Close to the train station, walking distance to the beach. Soft close doors for all room doors and bathrooms. Didn’t hear a door slam the whole stay!
Kamakura
Very unique Japanese design room (simplicity) with “soft” colour decoration and Japanese furniture which made me so relaxed and comfortable.
Kamakura
Such a lovely host and great little property. We loved walking to the beach from there. The traditional Japanese Breakfast was delicious.
Kamakura
The old Japanese style house, it was very clean, and the fact that you sleep on the floor on tatami mats was a very nice experience!
Kamakura

Location was great! As all Prince hotels, it was clean, quiet and the staff was good
Kamakura
