I loved how dog friendly they were. They provided large bowls, pee pads and a blanket for my dog. Their menu also has a dog dinner and dog breakfast item for purchase that my dog loved (steamed veggies).

Helpful staff accommodating our late arrival due to train problems, fire in the tracks, which delayed our arrival by more than 2 hours. Good location, close to the station and easy to walk around to the main sites or get a bus. Comfortable room, just enough for our needs. All good!

Located just next to Kita-Kamakura Station, about 2-3 minutes’ walk. The room is clean and well-organized. One can hardly feel that the it is actually quite small ( another good feature though, easy to fetch anything and all are at hand). Japanese-styled decoration with actual tatami, AC and a great bathroom and everything people can ask for in a hotel. The hosting lady is one with kind heart and hospitality, I had a good time chatting with her in Japanese (it’s ok if you don’t speak Japanese, the translator she used is of great help)

Kamakura essentially is a part of the loop between Ofuna and Enoshima. People who come to Kamakura either do so for the shrines/temples OR to stay as a starting point to go to Enoshima. We were the latter. Kamakura gives an impression of a slow paced lifestyle with many interesting and unique shops selling a great variety of things. Kamakura itself has a shopping street which can be quite touristy. Otherwise, it's actually a bustling down with people always on the move. Enoden is definitely a must-take ride. Followed by Shonan Monorail which is an "inverted" track type of monorail. Enoshima by itself can be an entire day trip of shopping, visiting shrines and special locations but require quite a bit of leg strength and stamina. Recommend going for Escar for people who can't climb well. Iwaya Caves is good, but the trip back can be challenging. Enoshima Sea Candle is a must; though at times, the outdoor observatory can be closed and the indoor observatory doesn't have any seats - making the visit very short-lived quickly. Best if you arrange a boat ride out via a route near Iwaya Caves. The shopping streets on the mainland is just as interesting with a lot of unique items and food choices. (that's the street between Enoshima causeway and Enoshima Enoden station)

If you have been in Tokyo for enough time it is interesting to visit Kamakura where there are lovely Temples and gardens and it's not far to the beach. We were there for 3 days and that was enough to see everything on the list of attractions.

Very nice city, plenty of historical sights, shopping, restaurants. Make sure it is not a national holiday though, the local train was absolutely packed! Many people make the trek to ride the nostalgic Enoden Electric Line, a fun trip along the coast but crushing crowds on a Sunday before a holiday.

Kamakura has lots to offer if you like hiking and water sports. I did a hike to the great Buddha and also went for a run through the city and on the mountain. The wind was perfect for wind surfing and having a nice time on the beach.

It’s a small city, yet popular with tourists thanks to its blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. While some spots can get quite crowded, those who enjoy hiking can escape the crowds by booking a local guide and exploring the mountain trails. These paths lead to hidden shrines and temples, offering not only a peaceful atmosphere but also stunning views.

The hotel was intimate and our room was spacious and resembled a very modern Ryokan. The breakfast was traditional and delicious. It included rice pockets with a choice of fillings prepared by their chef, which sat on a bed of dried seaweed, and was served with a side of pickles and miso. The meal was flavoursome and fresh. The location was very convenient for us, noting the train and tram station a stone throw away. The area was buzzing with people, and then nice and quiet at night.

Before arriving, I received codes to enter the property. This way it was easy to store my luggage safely until check-in time. The host is welcoming and seems to like sweets. She handed out snacks for free and various drinks are also provided in the room. To me, as a sweets-lover, that is a big plus. There is enough space in the room for a large suitcase and the bathroom is standard for Japan (comparable to a business hotel).

Traditional Japanese house with a lot of charm. Silence and peace are the names of the game here and Kanta is a wonderful host. Traditional breakfast was a nice addition for this really pleasant experience. Kamakura is a little gem and staying at this inn added an extra layer to the trip. Don't miss the chance to stay here, you will not be disappointed

The accommodation was spotless, and a short walk from Kita-Kamakura station, so ideally situated for exploring Kamakura and surroundings. A comfy bed, and roomy shower were welcome after a long day of exploring. The staff were lovely, and despite my minimal Japanese, we managed to communicate well. Great stay!
