The staff was lovely and welcoming. When we had a problem with the heater, they got it fixed right away. The room itself is super clean, cosy and bright (our room even had a balcony which was nice). The reception area is small but lovely. During opening hours, there is free coffee, tee and toiletries. We did not use the washing machines, but they looked very clean and well taken care of. The hotel is only a 5 minutes walk away from Nippori station in a calm street and shops as well as restaurants are close by. There is a fantastic Onsen just over the street. We had a great stay and would definitely come back again!

Must do: Disneyland!
Dit was mijn eerste keer in het werelddeel Azie en het heeft niet echt mijn hart gestolen. Japanners zijn super vriendelijk/behulpzaam, daar lag het zeker niet aan. De stad zelf vond ik sfeerloos en veel hoogbouw/kantoor. Ik ben onder andere naar Ueno Zoo geweest, kleine dierentuin en veel te weinig ruimte voor de dieren. Vond ik echt erg zielig. De metro is goed te doen, ik raad wel een Pasmo-kaart aan, zet daar wat tegoed op (ik heb voor 4 dagen Y5000,- erop gezet en kwam daar goed mee uit. Onder andere voor de rit vanuit de stad, naar het vliegveld. Een echte aanrader zijn de 2e Disneyparken, maar houdt wel rekening met lange wachtrijen voor de attracties. In Disney Sea waren doordeweeks de wachtrijen van 180 minuten geen uitzondering.

Kamogawa is a quaint town with very tasty restaurants, beautiful beaches and lots of natural scenery. It is also home to one of the best sea parks in the Kanto region with dolphin, orca and seal shows occuring several times a day.

The staff at the hotel were amazing. Chasing after us to give us complimentary umbrellas in the rain, sending on my son's plushy toy to our next hotel when it caught up in the bedclothes. The staff spoke good English and were very patient, accommodating, kind and sincere. The hotel is very grand and exceptionally close to the Tonogawa shrine, but the hotel staff are what made this hotel exceptional for us.

The place is very clean and the room is very good. We were a couple and it got a bit too small for the both of us and our luggage (but we were already expecting this!). I would recommend bringing only one piece of luggage for each person. Oh, also, very close to the Shinjuku Station, which is very good! We also stayed in a different APA hotel during our stay in Tokyo and both had the exact same bedroom and bathroom configuration and standards, so I think this is a reliable hotel chain.
