The property is located in a quiet neighborhood within five minute walk from JR Koza station. Restaurants and supermarkets are just in walking distance. We stayed in the economy double room from Dec 21 to Dec 25, which was clean and comfortable for two people. The kitchen was fully equipped with an induction oven. It was easy to go to the neighborhood supermarket to shop groceries and food stuffs and bring back to cook. The bathroom was clean coming with a hot tub and the water steam was hot and powerful. The parking lot is spacious, easy for an SUV to get in. JR Koza is a station where local and express trains both stop here. It is easy to get on a train from here to either Kii-Tanabe or to Shingu to enjoy the entire Kii peninsula. When we stayed here, we took JR and bus to get to Kumano Koto for the trails to Hayatama Taisha and Nachi Taisha.

The building was beautiful and we had it to ourselves. The kitchen was available for our use and was well stocked. We enjoyed exploring the adjacent shrine and ancient tree.

After staying for two nights, you'll understand the comfort...

After staying for two nights, you'll understand the comfort of renting an entire building. I think it would be comfortable even for a large group. The stove is a simple one, so a barbecue is a must. If you're going to barbecue, it's best to bring paper plates or something similar. Tableware is provided indoors. The room is spacious, and there's a nostalgic and comfortable atmosphere in its old-fashioned design. The parking lot is also spacious. The barbecue area is a must-see when you come to Kushimoto. It's on the edge of Oshima, so it's a bit far to get to Kushimoto, but fishing is good and you can relax. I was able to enjoy a laid-back life on Oshima.
