A 5-minute walk from JR Komatsu Train Station’s West Exit, the Komatsu Grand has a public bath, a sauna and a Japanese/Western breakfast buffet. The modern rooms include an LCD TV and free WiFi. The room was very clean, the staff was kind and helpful . The location is perfect for walking to the local shopping arcade and train station. Several temples and shrines are walkable from the hotel as well. Hotel food was delicious and there is a tasty Tonkatsu Curry restaurant directly across the street.
Hotel Granbinario Komatsu is located in Komatsu, 7 miles from Yunokuni No Mori. The property provides a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space for guests. This is return. I was quite impressed at my first stay. This time was not quite the same. From Executive room to single room, what a difference! Other than the check in and out, it did not meet my expectations.
Guesthouse Mikkaichi is located in Komatsu, 7 miles from Yunokuni No Mori. The 1-star guesthouse has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, all with air-con and heater. The beautiful traditional Japanese building is renovated with everything you need for a guest house.
The world’s oldest hotel according to Guinness, Hoshi Ryokan was established in 718 and has been operated by 46 generations of the same family. The room was very spacious! It has both the modern and traditional touch in it! They managed to send a car to pick us up from the station right away. The food was good too!
It is a great place to relax and away from hustle and bustle city. Tips: if you like shopping or doesnt like onsen, then advise dont go to komatsu. Komatsu is a place nice, relax, and slow environment. :)
Stayed one night and visited the Nata-Dera Temple and Japan Motor museum. Taxis were expensive (can't hire bicycles on Sundays). The Temple's gardens were as pretty as any we'd seen elsewhere. Cars at the museum were very interesting, even my wife enjoyed it which was not expected! Train Station also like others - clean, and decorated with surrounding flower beds and pots. Also we had a pleasant surprise for my Brazilian wife - a Brazilian shop near to Komatsu Station!
