Located in the heart of Battambang, about a 3-minute drive by Tuk Tuk from the city center, Moloppor Villa offers courtyard-style accommodations with a shared kitchen and a garden with outdoor seating... The huge bath in the room as well as a separate shower. In fact it was an exceptional bathroom with strong pressure, plentiful, controllable hot and cold water and plugs that work! The bed, piloted and linens were soft and fresh and we had excellent sleeps. The rooms, common areas and pool were immaculately clean. Friendly, helpful staff on the front desk with very good English made communicating and arranging tours so much easier.
Located in the heart of Khmer Wat Kor Village, Maisons Wat Kor is a boutique hotel with an outdoor swimming pool and massage services. Rooms have a terrace offering garden or pool views. Service and hotel staff were fantastic - they arranged everything for us including local sights and activities and transport (eg our bus tickets when we left). Hotel grounds are beautiful and very relaxing. Mr Dan the tuk tuk driver was wonderful as well and took us on a fantastic tour of the countryside and temples - with lots of thoughtful stop offs.
Nestled in the colonial heart of Battambang, Bric-a-Brac is 328 feet from Psar Nat and just a minute’s walk from Sangker River. Where do I even begin to write about this fantastic little haven?? Communication during booking was fast and courteous. Upon arrival, Morrison greeted us warmly. My daughter's phone screen had broken (don't say it Morrison lol) and he immediately took the time to personally walk us to a repair shop, stay while we arranged repairs, and ensure that we got fair and reliable service. They arranged a tuk tuk tour with Mr. Tah, and he was without a doubt the best driver/tour guide we had on our entire vacation. They also made dinner reservations at a wonderful nearby restaurant for us at the last minute. The hotel and room was gorgeous, decorated in lovely antiques, eclectic, and comfortable. All the modern comforts while still maintaining the colonial aesthetic. Located right in the center of town, it was perfectly situated for walking around or just sitting and watching the locals go about their day. As other reviewers have said, there is street noise but this is Asia and honestly it is not bad at all in the evening. The thoughtful hosts have provided earplugs if you're a light sleeper, along with so many other personal touches you wouldn't even think of. The bed was extremely comfortable, AC was cold, and wifi worked well. Breakfast was delicious, fresh baked bread, delicious coffee, and an absolutely perfect soft boiled egg! The boutique downstairs has great books, gifts, and artwork. Highlight of the stay was cocktail hour, where we were able to sit and have drinks and chat with Morrison and Robert, both incredibly warm, witty and interesting gentlemen. The staff was also kind and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure a great visit. We were only able to stay one night due to our travel schedule, but even in this short time they made us feel like old friends. We missed Bric a Brac the moment we left-thank you Morrison, Robert, and staff for providing such a great experience!

Located in Battambang, a 5-minute walk from Colonial Buildings, La Villa features an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. A wonderful place to stay with superb staff. Seng Hout Hotel is located in Battambang City, only 164 feet from Psar Nat Market. Located near Wat Peapahd Temple, it offers a restaurant and air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. I had stayed here several years ago when I working in Battambang.
Lots of history in this town and well worth hiring a tuk tuk driver to take you around to some of the different places on the outskirts that are perhaps not mentioned as must dos. Loved seeing how rice paper is made and have homemade spring rolls. Our tuk tuk driver, Pili, had a lot of personal stories to add when he took us to sites to learn more about the Khmer Rouge as he lived during that time. The market was....well, let's just say that it's not for the faint of heart. Cafes and restaurants are good. I didn't see many of the attractions in the town but I hear there are plenty.
Great to get out of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. There are very few tourists around, the street food (and food generally) is lovely and fresh, and people are very friendly and don’t approach you as much for tuk tuks etc. We had the best time here visiting local enterprises using rice and bananas to create a living and really enjoyed the hospitality everywhere we went. We did a cooking class and will now be able to take a bit of Cambodia home with us.
Big flat hot dusty city with few attractions aside from from some French-era architecture. Was not remotely interested in "killing fields". No entertainment whatsoever in town which closes down by about 10 or 11pm. The river running through it is quite dead and is the colour of vomit. Roads in and out of this place are atrocious and a disgrace like all Cambodian roads. The populace is typically desperately poor and most eke out a grim existence, awaiting Chinese colonization which will improve their lot not at all.
Battambang is a charming town with remains of buildings from the colonial era. There is a big artistic community, galleries ... There are also plenty of things around, pre-Angkorian temples, the bamboo train, the cave with bats, a sublime countryside, places of tranquility to relax around a lake or by the river ... In short, it deserves to spend at least 2 or 3 days or more if affinities! 😂
Went there to see the Bamboo Train, which will soon be replaced by the newest train that will take you to the Cambodian equivalent of Disneyland. We were fortunate enough to have a tuktuk driver that knew he could still get us a ride on the old tracks being run by locals who are waiting to be shutdown. The Bat Cave is pretty assume, there are millions of bats, nice little touristy area. Never did find any nightlife.... Area is flat so for something to do rent a bike, city won the "clean city" award!
Nice small town with very friendly people. Lots of things to see and lots of restaurants and bars. The river is interesting, very low in the dry season and high in the wet season. At night, small restaurants set up little tables and plastic chairs for dinner along the river side, quite charming. I would skip the famous bamboo train, nothing to write home about! Take a tuk-tuk for a day, they are really not expensive and go in town and outside to see how people live.

The manager speaks good English. He arranged for the hotel taxi to bring us from Phnom Penh to Battambang. We bought our boat tickets to Siem Reap through the hotel and we could order an early breakfast The rooms were quiet, big and comfortable. We could sleep very soundly. The hotel is on the other side of the river from most restaurants- makes for a nice evening walk along the river. The pool was lovely and made for enjoyable evening swims

Good value for money. The rooms are good for the price - clean, spacious, ours had a window. There is a pleasant roof terrace cafe that does a decent breakfast and drinks. The hotel is really well located for exploring Battambang on foot.
