A hidden gem in Central Asia! As an Indian traveler, I highly recommend this destination to fellow Indians. It offers stunning natural beauty and modern amenities—comparable to many European countries—but at a fraction of the cost. You'll find a wide variety of delicious food at very reasonable prices. There are plenty of well-organized tours to explore different attractions, many of which are available through platforms like GetYourGuide. You can easily choose one that fits your schedule and budget. I spent a wonderful seven days here, and I’m truly glad I made the trip. Almaty is a very beautiful city. There are lots of parks and I was really surprised by the amount of greenery this city has. The folks here are very laid back and helpful. Almaty is a beautiful city surrounded by mountains. It has so many things that can make your stay be very colorful. The city also have so many good restaurants and very vibrant. The one that really stand out is the numbers of cars that has been increasing exponentially in the last 5 years which created a huge pollution to the city (which unfortunately located in a valley where the air are being trapped there) and traffic can be brutal during certain hours. Clean pictureque city with very friendly people everywhere and lots of tourist attractions and shopping options. The disciplined traffic is impressive. There is need for more outlets and restaurants for vegetarians and vegan food. Green bazaar needs renovation and has awful toilet contrary to the rest of the city.
