Very lovely family, from the mother who cooks delicious food..fish her husband had caught that day.., the daughter who took us on the lagoon bird spotting trip, and the niece anxious to help out as well. Breakfast was also delicious.

Beautiful bungalow with 4 gorgeous rooms, very well equipped with all the amenities needed. The bathroom was excellent, and we particularly loved how it is open with glass ceiling above the shower ☺️ We met the owner who’s an architect, and told her that her design is top notch! The small pool and sun loungers by the pool were excellent and a few steps walking on the amazing soft sandy beach gets you to the refreshing, perfectly clean waters of Kalametiya’s Turtle Beach! Heavenly location, and make sure you walk all along the beach as far as you can to enjoy the soft sand and gorgeous weather ☺️ The food at the hotel was fantastic and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, with very reasonable prices. The very accommodating and friendly manager Sajana made sure our needs were always met and it was fantastic! Also Mahesh is always smiling and helpful despite his limited knowledge of English. We hope to return soon 🙏🏼☺️

Our stay at Igabara Hobbit House was absolutely magical. The location is perfect - peaceful, surrounded by nature, and just a short walk from Rekawa Beach. It really feels like your own hidden oasis away from everything. The accommodation is stunning. The hobbit-style house is so unique and beautifully designed, with every detail thought through. The room was spotless, comfortable, and full of charm, with that cozy, fairytale feeling you can’t find anywhere else. Breakfast was incredible every morning - fresh, generous, and always delicious. Eating surrounded by the garden and the sound of nature was the perfect start to the day. But the real highlight is the staff. They are some of the kindest and most caring people we met in Sri Lanka. So helpful, so accommodating, and genuinely warm - they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Nothing was ever too much for them. If you’re looking for peace, beauty, and a place that truly feels like paradise, Igabara Hobbit House is the spot. One of the best stays of our trip, without a doubt.
