Atlas Amadil Beach Hotel, Suite Hotel Tilila, and Hotel Timoulay and Spa Agadir got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Agadir.
Agadir is very French and a superb holiday destination for families with young children. Book a hotel within walking distance of the magnificent beach which is very clean and the restaurants and bars behind it serve excellent food and alcoholic drinks. Your hotel will probably have a private beach area with loungers and sunshades. Do NOT hire a car if you have even the slightest evidence of high blood pressure or of a nervous disposition. Moroccan drivers do not take prisoners!! Taxis are plentiful and cheap. We did none of these things. The Riad les Chtis d'Agadir was a disappointment. it's just not like other Riads we've stayed in Fez, Tangier and Marrakech. The Agadir earthquake of 1960 - (magnitude 5.8) put paid to any sense of traditional architecture. The Riad is not in a tourist hotspot, or any hotspot come to think of it. It’s slap bang in an area, part of which is given over to small, shack-type workshops with greasy floors mending 50cc motorcycles and one-man, tiny shops. Most taxi drivers didn’t know of its whereabouts which is why it offers a taxi service from the airport. There are no redeemable features nearby and yet, less than ten minutes away is the seaside. The picture on Booking.com’s website of the ‘Red Room’ with red sheets might lead you to think this could be a typical room. The room we booked for four nights didn’t give us any clue to its size, It was small and yet we think we paid top dollar! Other, more expensive rooms, did give floor areas. We were impressed with the two members of staff who went out of their way to look after us - and were exceptional. The Riad is very clean. Breakfast is acceptable - perhaps too many carbs! Our overall impression, based on the other guests we spoke to was this is adequate for one or two nights only.
Agadir was a stopover as we headed further southeast into Morocco. We had hoped to visit some city attractions including the Amizigh Museum and Bird Park but both were closed. We were able to drive through Paradise Valley and met a lovely family selling honey, etc alongside the road - truly special travel moment. BUT, when we walked along the beach there was garbage on the shoreline EVERYWHERE - fruit, vegetables, plastic bags, etc etc - the surrounding facilities were beautiful - ie the promenade, hotels, restaurants but I would never choose to vacation at such a location because of the condition of the beach and would be afraid to swim in the water for fear of uncleanliness. There is no doubt from all the hotels (and the many being built) that this is a beach resort destination but if Agadir wants to be a desirable beach resort they need to keep the beaches clean. Such a shame as it could be wonderful.
Benidorm in Morocco, only recommend for people 50+ that don’t care at all about culture or feeling like they’re anywhere other than Butlins Bognor Regis and simply want to tan themselves until they look like cheap leather bags. Stunning beach surrounded by bad plastic fronted restaurants peddling cheeseburgers and chicken curry pasta (what is up with that). If you want to do nothing other than lay on a beach and watch men smacking camels with sticks so fat white tourists full of Stella Artois can take pictures on them then Agadir is for you.
Amazing place to visit . My first time in Morocco and it far exceeded my expectations. The people were lovely. The place is very clean. It was quiet when we went as it was Ramadan. We ate at El Toro restaurant one night which I would highly reccommend. First class food and service.
Do not book the sunset camels . I thought I was going to the desert to have a small ride on the camels to see the sunset and have a bbq in traditional morroccon tent . Five minutes down the road were camels on a load of rubble like a building site . I was then told we were going to be on the camels for an hour and a half through a forest to a river then to a restaurant. It was not what I was expecting so I didn't go on the camel but the taxi took us to the river it was filthy full of rubbish no sand dunes or flamingos was horrible. Then went to some kind of shopping place with a restaurant that gave us food not a real barbecue in the desert in a traditional tent . Was very very disappointed and a waste of money . Crocodile Park was well worth a visit . And the beach and restaurants by the beach was lovley too
Agadir was badly damaged in the 1960's with an earthquake so most of the properties are fairly new, hotels account for the majority of the seafront properties with many on the all inclusive and cut price spectrum, the town has little by way of culture, but if its cheap holiday in the sun its ideal. There are some great hotels in amongst the offering however, you just need to pick and choose what your priorities are, most have lots of activities on offer from camel rides, trips to various places and of course the food has a definite Moroccan/French vibe which is delicious, most people speak French and Arabic so some school French will be a great help. We moved on to stay in Essouira around 3 hours north of Agadir, a great drive and well worth a visit for a few days.
The hotel is safe and great value for money and equipped with all the necessary facilities. We stayed there 2x during our trip. Both rooms are clean and have a view to the ocean. The staff is very friendly and helped us with special requests and tips. The restaurant is good and offers a variety of dishes. The beach (devils rock) is a 10 min walk away which was perfect for us because we came for surfing. Wifi is good but not strong in all rooms, so if you depend on it, ask for a room close to the router. ;)
Out of all Agadir hotels I found this one at a perfect location. Beach was at five minutes walk across the street as well as Turkish, Lebanese, Indian, Pakistani, Moroccan and fast food restaurants. Plenty of parking available. Rooms are big and the ocean breeze is fantastic when you open the windows or balcony door. Check in was smooth, staff is awesome. Shower head was the way I like. I think this place gives you way more than what you pay for. Highly recommended.
Agadir
We stayed in Agadir only one night. It was very difficult to find accommodation in Agadir as most of the premises consist of big hotels, most of them all inclusive. We therefore opted for an apartment. The location of the apartment is very good, it is in the city centre, around 20 minutes walk to the beach. The apartment is small, but serves its purpose and is not very expensive. Wi-Fi was excellent. It was also very good value for money.
Incredibly comfortable beds and pillows. Beds seemed almost new. Pillows were the best in my two months in Morocco, soft and not too big.....if you like big pillows you can always use two but I prefer smaller pillows and these were perfect. Good size room, double bed, single bed and a table....amazing as I'd only booked a single room. Location is on a lovely boulevard close to beach.
Always difficult to rate an all inclusive establishment. But as All inclusive goes this one is pretty good. The food was fine or even more than fine, drinks were good, local wines absolutely fine and service was excellent. I'm giving this hotel a rating of 8 but for all inclusive it's probably closer to 9.
this is a fantastic hotel with amazing staff. very seldom do I actually enjoy a hotel’s buffet, but this one was amazing. great for a couples holiday or for a family holiday. staff couldn’t have been happier or more helpful. right next to the beach and immaculate throughout
We like all the people working at the hotel especially cleaning staff, they do great job. Hello to pool guys, beach guys and reception personnel. Hotel very clean and also impressive. Decent food in restaurant, everyone can find something to eat.
Liked the pool view, comfortable bed, clean facilities, friendly staff, varied breakfast options and Spa. There were no cats in the hotel restaurant which was nice as there were cats everywhere else in Morocco.
Everything was fantastic. Spent the last two days of our month long trip in Morocco at Tikida Golf Palace and was a perfectly luxurious treat for us. Couldn’t have felt more spoilt.
Comfortable and clean hotel near the beach. customer relation Madam Nadia and housekeeping Supv. Madam Mariam are doing excellent in serving all guest needs.
Founty, Agadir
Best breakfast we had in Morocco - excellent choice. Very helpful reception staff especially Youssef. Very large room with nice balcony and view to the sea.
this place is awesome and can fit multiple purposes! quiet and discreet compared to all other hotels by the beach and having a sense of luxury too
Good staff, good vibes pleasent stay, the hotel is at the main street close to shopes, but also close to the beach. We will come back for sure.
The best staff at any hotel I have stayed at ever. Every single one of them was absolutely top drawer.
Nice hotel for an all inclusive experience for a couple of days, decent food, nice pool
