Agadir is nice if you like hustle and bustle surrounding very busy, a lots of restaurants and bars even though it’s a Muslim country, but if you like to rest and see authentic Agadir visit Taghazout , paradise valley and surrounding villages, different experiences. More suited to surf lovers
I was stuck an extra 2 nights due to flight cancellation during religious holiday. Agadir is lovely and is undergoing improvents in infrastructure and tourist attractions away from the beach. I recommend travellers seek out day trips to more remote communities off the beaten track to see the real culture in the region.
Not many attractions. Not much to do or visit as a family. Hotel food isn’t great but we ate out everyday. There is a selection of different restaurants and places to eat local to the hotel. Crocodile park is a great place to visit with the kids. Really beautiful and a great day out. The beach was beautiful and lots do around there. Plenary of places to eat on the beach. There are two souks local to the area ones little cheaper than the other. Make sure you haggle and go as low as 50% of what they are asking or even lower. The sellers are very friendly and enjoy haggling so don’t be off put by it. try to hail your own taxi to places you visit as the taxi company the hotel use to books taxi for you charge double of what you would pay otherwise. If you find a taxi driver who speaks English take his number and use him for the duration of the trip as it makes life a lot easier but always agree on the fare beforehand. Make sure you tip to get an even better service. Lastly make sure to try the hammam you won’t regret it.
Agadir is a bustling busy place, mostly rebuilt after the earthquake in the 60's. The Moroccan people are the real surprise, lovely and helpful without exception, people from all walks of life were a pleasure to deal with. Particularly the nice guy who stays close to 'his' car park collecting small fees for its use ( about £1 per day ). The youths are a revelation, felt no animosity, quite the opposite, youthful of course but same friendly approach as all others and happy to chat. The second thing to hit you about Agadir is the civic pride, it is normal to see a city employee wherever you may be, and police on the streets as well. The place is kept super clean and the there is a complete range of shops. Another big feature is the 'quality' of the place, new buildings are more than concrete, lovely architecture and tastefully decorated with stonework and tiles, and the many public parks are being renewed with great care and will be gorgeous places throughout the city.
I have mobility issues so was happy to stay in the hotel and enjoy the pool and entertainment. It was a nice, easy holiday. I could have made it more adventurous, there were lots of excursions on offer. But I got exactly what I wanted. The hotel is not luxurious, but it’s clean and cosy with a lovely pool, good food and great, friendly staff.
this is perfect destination where you can relax in resorts located along the agadir beach and do few activities within town or outisde. the atlantic sea is not best for sea activities due to waves. there is onlyhandful beach activities/sports centre - i.e. jet ski, parasailing
Location of hotel was good but 10-15 mins walk to beach. Its not beach front. My room from lobby was so far especially with an under one and no kettles in any room i had to keep going down for hot water. I booked superior which states on my booking too but check in tried to convince me that I booked standard and they have given me superior because i waited and they gave me best room I'm hotel. Not! The room was bigger in size compared to another one we were shown however bathroom was rusty.
Agadir
Beautifull Villa a few minutes ride from the agadir airport. Great garden suitable for short walks. Great breakfast was included in price. Dinner (paid extra) was exceptional - undoubtedly the best meal we had in Morocco. The owner is very helpful and speaks great english (a lot of people in Morocco speaks only french from the foreign languages). LIbrary and other rooms and garden available for spending the free time.
Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We felt looked after very well. As we are vegans chefs of the kitchen delivered very tasty and big portions of our meals, we were spoiled to the moon. It was an exceptional stay. Big big THANK YOU all for all your marvelous work. Will definetely stay in this lovely hotel for our trip to Morocco as it was located very close to the sea and other local shops, restaurants.
Flights have not resumed at scale to Agadir yet so the hotel was at low occupancy but lucky to have survived pandemic when so many hotel neighbours have closed fully or by episode. Staff continue with 5 star service with extras such as print facility, cash exchange and no extra charge for holding room into 6pm. Terrific food, French classic house with much seafood and some Italian.
The staff and reciptionists were exceptional, they were kind, smiling all the time, accomodating, they were the only good thing in this hotel, no management no manager to talk to, but they were trying to ease our stay. Location was awesome, in the center of the town 5 sec walk to the beach. Wifi was great, i watched netflex on their wifi. Also bed was very comfortable.
Hotel is brand new and still finishing parts to be opened. We spent a few nights here in July and it was great. Plentiful breakfast, good gym, nice pool area. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Wifi was strong in the restaurant and pool areas so we were able to work there and take calls. Close to some restaurants and about a 10-15 min walk to the beach promenade.
Ghizlaine made my trip perfect. Very professional and friendly! She went the extra mile with my special requests and made sure all my needs were met. Ghizlaine is a great asset to Sofitel hotel and deserves nothing but all the best. I will be returning due to welcoming staff like ghizlaine Great exceptional service :)
convenient location of the hotel, 10min to the beach with lots of cafe and entertainment. the price is in line with the quality, the cleaner is very nice, we received clean bedding and towels every day

I’ve been to so many hotels around the Globe , but this is far one of the best hotel i’ve ever been to . Super friendly and helpful staff
The hotel is really 5 star. Buffet was great and kids could eat free. The views were stunning. And the slides made the kids day.
Directly at the beach with own beach access. Pool and good food for an all inclusive hotel
It has everything we expected. It has cheap restaurants around. It is near to the Marina. We love to walk around the city. It has a pool too. It's not so big but I used it all by myself 😂 We only booked for 2 days but we extended for another 2 days. The staff are all nice and always smiling. And the room is sooooo clean. Couldn't ask for more. I will recommend.
In so many words... everything was great! Very hospitable, no issues whatsoever, very attentive staff, good breakfast, great facilities, gym offered all the essentials, etc. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it.
