Asiilah is a small town/city off the main tourist track. I was looking for an "authentic" Moroccan urban experience and Asilah was perfect for that. The hustlers were to a minimum, the markets, shops and street vendors had a wide supply of offerings. The produce sold on the street was of the most beautiful colors and freshness. The shopping I did was without pressure and fun. Asilah should be seen if you are nearby and stay at the Riad Oasis D'Asilah when there
The beaches in Asilah are a open rubbish field. I would not walk on the sand without shoes, it is a wide sand shore and the waves are beautiful, but it is a shame that locals have zero respect for the environment and the beach is a landfill. People are a little bit less pushy that Marrakesh or Fes, but there's nothing to do there. You can see the entire old town in 1h and the restaurants are just disgusting - dirty, expensive and not impressive at all.
A very chilled small town, beautiful old Medina with very little hassle meaning you can enjoy wandering around and looking at things. Some nice choice of restaurants and cafes. A nice relaxed feeling in the town.
If travelling by train - trip used to take around 4 and half hours from Casa. With TGV now to Tanger only 2. From there need to take communter train however it is much more convenient to take a Grand Taxi from and to Tanger train station for about 200 dirhams or 20 Euros each way. Commuter train is ackward if you have any amount of luggage.
Assilah is a lovely town with very little hassle. I think the beach gets very crowded in the high season (July and August) but if you go in the off-season when it's still warm, it's much nicer.
Asilah was so calm and beautiful. It was a nice break from the crowded cities we had visited earlier in our trip. The Old Medina is full of art and lots of places to shop. Watching the sunset at the beach is a must! Variety of dining options and lodging in the old city. Outside of shopping in the medina there wasn't a whole lot to do or see, but it was perfect for our trip. Ideal for art lovers looking for a relaxing stay.

We enjoyed one night at the Riad Aicha before having to leave early to get our travel COVID tests. The riad is centrally located and within walking distance to everything in town. The rooftop also has great views of the surrounding village and night sky. Mohammed was incredibly helpful, and found us a taxi to Tangier for a last minute train to Casablanca. We can’t thank him enough for his quick help and willingness to sit with us at a cafe for a half hour until our cab showed up.
We liked the breakfast, the stuff were very nice and helpful, they carried the bags, called a cab for us , room service was exceptional , the hotel was calm . Its location is very good with a great view on the beach , close to all the facilities that you might need, has great restaurants nearby, it also has many conversation areas( living rooms, couchs in reception area..)... ,I highly recommand this hotel .
The Aparthotel was a 10! The staff was friendly and always willing to assist with your needs, Wissal the manager was very awesome. the hotel was so quiet and comfortable, and it is in a great location with sea view, clean and cozy apartments. Highly recommended.
