Hotel Bistra, Resort Mavrovo is located in National Park Mavrovo, at the foot of the Bistra Mountain and features an indoor swimming pool, fitness center and sauna. No comment.... The best staff ever.They are all polite and friendly, the rooms are clean and the restaurant is amazing. The portion for 1 person is HUGE enough for 4 people so definitely worth for the money even if you are not guest in the hotel you must visit... but highly recommended to stay in this hotel because of the location, the staff and the quality in overall. Thank you

I’m afraid I didn’t touch my rental car for a whole day as I was too much involved in the peacefulness of the place and location. The house is incredibly comfy and perfect for close friends or couple trips. Host is nice and super helpful

Located a 2-minute walk from Starata Staza, 0.7 mi from Star skilift and a 17-minute walk from Plav, Apartment Suzana provides accommodations set in Mavrovo village. I would give the property and its owners an 11 if I could. The place is stunning, perfectly located, super clean, and excellent value for money. Suzana was absolutely amazing, going far beyond what you would expect a host to do. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, lovely garden. Highly recommended for sure!

Mavrovo is a mature resort, and many hotels and facilities are currently being upgraded and updated. The hotels are small and cosy. Many private villas are available for short-term stay too. The ski pistes are diverse enough, some European Cup races were held there in the past. There are nice facilities around the pistes, several restaurants and huts at the top, night skiing, snow-guns, etc. It never gets overcrowded for skiing. It is also a popular destination for year-round sports, events and seminars tourism.

What a shame this place is dead this August.
What a shame this place is dead this August. Half the water has disappeared from the lake, leaving an ugly shoreline of plastics and other rubbish. The town is dead, with none of the well marketed activities actually in evidence. It seems those responsible for collecting rubbish are on strike out have been fired because the industrial bins are all over flowing leaving the town with a putrid smell of long rotten waste. Hopefully things will get better before the ski season

Mavrovo is probably the best ski resort in North Macedonia. There are 13 ski lifts (3 chairlifts and 10 surface lifts), the slopes are nice and of various level of difficulty. People who need modern and fast lifts will be disappointed because the lifts here are a little dated. For me instead, this adds a nostalgic vein to the charm of the place. Hotels are at least twice as expensive here compared to the Macedonian standard due to the great demand and the importance of the resort. There are several ski rental shops. The view from the lifts, from the slopes and from the plateau is amazing, especially thanks to the wonderful lake below. A considerable effort is made by the resort staff to keep the slopes, the roads and the public areas clean, but it's almost a hopeless job since the tourists, here as well as virtually everywhere in the southern Balkans, throw garbage everywhere including on the slopes, in the rivers and in the lake.

Mavrovo is beautiful and green! We enjoyed horse back riding, mountain biking and hiking in the area. It was very restful and beautiful. There are not a lot of amenities in the area but we were fine.

There are plenty of things one can do there, horse riding, swimming, sunbathing, although it's a mountain place, hiking etc. beautiful and cute houses! The only thing I didn't like there were the stray dogs. They should be taken care for!

From $33 per nightThe host was really friendly and communicative. She also offered us to use the whole house for the price of the room, which we had been booked. The property was quite large, so we had plenty of room. The location of the property is perfect: it’s in the heart of the Mavrovo national park. Even the Korab mountain was in a reachable (1,5 hours) distance with car. The facilities were a little bit old fashioned but functional. We could also use the parking lot of another hotel nearby.

The owner can provide the appartment wifi password which offers stable internet access - the data network signal is not that good inside the building.

The location is perfect, 5 minutes from the ski slopes and beautiful restaurants near the villa. Very friendly and attentive staff. Not a criticism, my feedback is that you should clear the snow on the slope leading to the villa and also the yard in front of the front door.

We ate in many places in Mavrovo, but no place was better than Rey! Totally recommend it! The view from the rooms is breathtaking!
