We eat here most of the Time and enjoyed it. -The Room that we had was nicely furnished. -The Beach Area has way less Seaweed compared to the Center Beaches, but also gets „flooded“ sometimes as the Water gets higher. -The Area around the Hotel is the Best, quick walk to the Center and quiet to relax. -All the Staff here were absolut professional and helpful. I can only recommand this Hotel to everyone.

Facing the beachfront, Zomay Beachfront Holbox offers 4-star accommodations in Holbox Island and features a garden, restaurant and bar. this place was beyond amazing! Cozy cabins just two steps from the gorgeous beach! We spend three wonderful nights and it was such a great choice for last nights in mexico. - staff was amazing, professional, polite. Best service I had seen in Mexico. - Premises are very well maintained, they clean everything so offenly, the sand in a yard is swept dozen times a day :) special thanks for waiters at the beach bar (two young guys, forgot to ask the names) - greates of all!!! So professional, polite, always ready to serve and always having great suggestions:) - food was great, enough choices, beautifully served. - wifi - best I had experienced in Mexico, soo fast. And I dont know if its relatable but even guest were amazing. Polite, friendly, helpful, but also quite and private. Serenity at Zomay was beyond our expectations, we were with two kids (one just a baby) so silent and calm atmosphere was our priority. If you want night life and a little bit more action - everything is just to blocks away. - little playground for kids also worth mentioning, because it was really convenient to have one

Holbox island immerses you into the island culture and locals of Mexico. Perfectly distanced from the rest of the country - Beautiful sunsets, clear calm water, fresh food and friendly locals. It’s hard not to fall in love
Holbox island is an absolute must see. It is not overrun with tourists but still has a good vibe about it with bustling streets and restaurants. The beaches are clean and untouched. The excursions like sea fishing and three islands trip are great. The culture seems very free and aimed at a good standard of life. The sunsets at Punta Coco are some of the best in the world.
I used to love Holbox when 1 first visited 5 years ago. It had the small town feeling, now some big hotel chains have move to Holbox and it’s loosing it’s original charm. Also we witness some of the Mexican corruption, with new properties being build in the beach - Which according to the Mexican constitution is illegal. But we guess corrupt politicians allowed it. Too many tourists, more than what the Island can accommodate, streets are dirty, with tons of garbage. Too many people from Spain, Italy, Argentina working at Holbox temporarily, so they don’t care much about the service, be patient at the restaurants because you might be served by somebody staying just 6 months in the Island, not really taking their job seriously.
The island infrastructure is very primitive. Roads are not paved, big water puddle in front of our hotel entrance, city wants to keep island feel, however, cleaning the street trash and paving streets does not take away an island feel. There are dogs everywhere and poop on sidewalks and the beach; it's quite sad to see that the city government does not care about about not wanting to spend on infrastructure. As a Mexican citizen I am embarrassed for people that live there as tourist must think that is how the rest of the state lives. I felt like I was in Nicaragua in a poor town with zero infrastructure. No trash cans, people leave trash everywhere, dirty, beaches full of sargazo, not clean. For the price the hotels charge I have no idea where the money goes, but they should use it to clean up Hollbox Island. I live in Cancun and will never again go there, was my first and last time. Will make sure to let other know that if they are looking for an expensive "glamping" experience then go there. Stay in Rivera Maya, Zona hotelera or better resorts at least the city governments there clean up a bit better
Isla Holbox was a very nice place to vacation and see a beautiful landscape. It was very fun to be so close to everything. We loved eating at the local restaurants. All the ones we chose were great! Getting around Isla Holbox was so easy cuz it’s so small. We also rented bikes one day and rode down to the end of the road. There was a great beach everywhere you looked and so many rooftop bars with pools. Great spot down at Alma Bar…rooftop view with pool, cocktails and great food!
This was a great Hotel with great service and friendly people, and we can highy recommend it to other travellers, and we will book it again. When booking a restaurant in town, we suggest to get upfront information, since we had big surprises with MILPA gourmet restaurant: very expensive and poor food quality, not to recommend. Argentinia Steak restaurant next corner to LA PALAPA was great.
The beachfront was the best on the island. People were laying in the water and walking across the middle of the water. It was shallow for such a long way out. So amazing. We just sat and walked in the water all day long. There was no seaweed in front of our hotel like the others. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodated all of our wishes. There were delicious food and drinks at the rooftop bar. They did not serve breakfast BUT next door at the Villas Caracol they had a lovely breakfast. We loved it here so much we stayed an extra day!!
A little gem on Holbox Island with one of the best views. Facilities are in top conditions as the property was recently renovated. Great value for money with top service. The owner Coco and PM are very gentle and always here to help and happy to give good advice for activities and restaurants (make sure to follow their recommendations on this point 🙂). They even gave us a free upgrade to the top floor suite. Thanks again! The property manager Arnaud is of the same top standard and very nice as the rest of the team.
Holbox Island
The design of this boutique hotel is just great, they have very good taste. We loved our room as well as the pool terrace on the rooftop. The staff is friendly and helpful. As our room was available the day we left, they let us leave our stuff in the room the whole day (for free) until we took the ferry in the evening. The location is also pretty good, there are a bunch of nice restaurants around and the beach is like 3 to 5 minutes walking distance.
One of the best boutique hotels we've stayed at! The service was exceptional, the rooms were beautiful and it exceeded all of our expectations. I'm gluten free and they made sure I had delicious fresh gluten free bread available and even cake which I really really appreciated!! The rooms, service and experience were worth every single penny! I would absolutely recommend going here and we will definitely be back sometime!
small and comfortable boutique hotel. perfect location. Close enough from the center but quiet enough to sleep 😴 . beach is two short walks from the hotel. personally I don’t think is worth paying for a beachfront in this island. you can use a different beach club everyday or just explore the island. Breakfast is AMAZING! staff is very friendly and helpful. shout to the restaurant staff, genuinely nice!
the hotel is situated in a calm place, 200 hundreds meters from the very center of the village and the walking distance from the beach. Nice garden with palms. The facilities and furniture were a bit basic, and we had a few general Wi-Fi and water cuts, but it applies to the whole island, and well compensated with magical atmosphere of this place.
Nice hotel a little bit off the main plaza. The stuff is extremely helpful. Hanzel made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. He also gave us some great tips on restaurants and things to do around the island. The room is big and comfortable. There is a nice looking pool which we didn't end up using though.
The location on the beach is great - the hotel lounge and beach area is behind a grungy seawall, which blocks direct access to the water. It’s on the quieter side of the island, which is fantastic, within walking distance to the main strip. The staff were friendly and the rooms cleaned each day.
Hotel was in an excellent location. Rooms were very clean and air condition was perfect. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Overall I was very pleased with my choice. Very cheap for the island and most importantly the room was very safe to leave your belongings.
It’s on the quieter side of the island. Room is comfortable and rooftop is nice. I imagine this hotel could be great given the right given the right time of year (ie, fewer mosquitos and when streets aren’t flooded). But I would not stay here again.
The hotel is incredible, it is a beautiful house with a boutique hotel built in with great design, harmonic spaces, rooms are clean, modern and comfortable with great AC. The beachfront is amazing, food was delicious and staff very friendly.
The staff is really attentive, the location is excellent and the hotel is in perfect condition. One of the best wifi's I've experienced on the island! The room was perfectly tidy and clean, bed is really comfortable :)
Stylish little hotel in a quiet area of the island. At the same time it takes just a few minutes walk to get to the beach and the centre. The breakfast was very good and the staff was helpful and very friendly.
