This place reminded me of a meditation retreat i used to go to called vipassana in California. The beauty of the water is impressive. the staff are kind and friendly. The place has a peaceful vibe to it. I can tell they have paid a lot of attention to small details to make this place look beautiful. It is truly quiet, which is a gem to me where most places are playing loud music.

Small boutique hotel with friendly staff and lovely rooms. The restaurant is a ten minute drive from the town, and therefore very quit and a serene place to relax. They have a great overflow pool overlooking the lake as well as a pier with relax chairs, hammocks and great views. Paddle out on the lake and experience the quietness of nature. Super! Highly recommended. Perfect for a few days of reading and chilling.

It is in the middle of nowhere, and this is what gives its beauty. A spacious cabin right in front of the lake with a large window and the marvellous sunrise is not to miss. Swimming in the lake has its unique charm too. The use of the canoe is free of charge. A simple and rich breakfast with a nice service. Mosquitos? Not a single bite in my 6 days stay, probably they didn't like my blood type.

Super good location, not in the city center but at walking distance if you like walking and only 5 min drive if you have a car. The access to the lagoon is perfect as it's towards the end of the lagoon, quite close to the Cocalitos cenote but not on the Cenote so the water is clear and shallow. Free kayak that's amazing, you can cross to the Birds Isle. Breakfast is correct for such a small hotel. Hotel with only a few rooms so it's not crowded and atmosphere is super relax. Lovely reception staff, friendly, smiling. Cocktails are nice and affordable. I had passion fruit margarita. Food is nice and affordable. We tried camarones it was delicious.

This place is family-owned, is kept clean, and has a nice-sized swimming pool. Super friendly people are always ready to help you, we had pizza delivered to our room, and we didn't wait long, we definitely will visit again.

Our stay at Bluebayou was wonderful, the hotel is simply amazing with a breathtaking view on the lagoon. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. The hotel disposes of kayaks to enjoy a nice ride in the lagoon, also bicycles and other chillout facilities such as hamaks. The team is very friendly and helpful, big thanks to Sergio and Guillermo for the hospitality, we hope to come back.

Just stunning - an absolute gem just on the outskirts of Bacalar town. Gorgeous place, attentive staff, a haven for relaxation. Be sure to be driving / take a taxi if you want to go to town, however not problematic at all. Room service has no surcharge, which really encourages you to use it - and the dishes are delicious. Picturesque.

The hotel was kind enough to give us a free upgrade. The staff was super friendly. The rooms are probably the most comfy we had in Mexico. Air conditioning was quiet and perfect.

It is a very beautiful, small boutique hotel. Location is very good, next to center and laguna access. It has beautiful pool and garden. Very well maintained. Service is very helpfull, we used their help in few emergency situations and we can say they saved a day:) If you want sailing trips book it with hotel, as private operator are really not reliable. you can as well send whatsapp message to hotel so they order you a cab if you go somewhere far and cant get one to go back. there is not too much himidity in the rooms, no mold etc. As my husband had breathing problems in previous hotel it was important for us , and in this hotel it is all good if someone has allergic issues :) owner is always there , always happy to ask how you are. We find this place as excellent to stay. For sure we would like to come back.
