Melaque is a lovely little beach town, very friendly people and plenty of good restaurants and shops. There is a local bus to go to neighbouring towns. Many ex-pats seem to be in this town, so it's possible to get by without a lot of Spanish, but it's definitely handy to know a little. The beach is great, and not crowded at all. Andrea, the receptionist was excellent in that her customer...
Andrea, the receptionist was excellent in that her customer services/skills were exceptional. It was no problem for her to walk me around property looking at available apartments, other than my confirmed booked one. Upon arriving, I was excited about the close proximity to the ocean, so asked to switch to a room with full view. My lights in bedroom wasn't working the first night and when I told Andrea the next morning, the owner was present, I told him my vacation was to relax & read. Not only did he change the light bulb, he also had specially put a reading lamp on bedside dresser! Due to my light not working first night, I enquired about a discount, which was given. So I decided to stay longer than my original one night confirmation, staying on an extra 4 nights. Very clean, housekeeping great.
