Kampar still maintains its layback atmosphere as a small town - not much to see or do (my personal opinion) but I enjoy the feeling of having "time at a standstill" compared to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Overall a great stay, just a few minor issues.
Overall a great stay, just a few minor issues.
The room and service were excellent. The only downside was the soundproofing - the noise level wasn’t very ideal.
Also, this hotel has a few branches. Customer service gave us the wrong GPS location for the branch we booked. Thankfully, the two branches are quite close to each other, so it wasn’t a big problem.
Would still recommend.

We went to Kampar to attend the UTAR convocation, so we did not have much time to travel around. But it's a small town with not much else to see. We went around mostly to search for places to eat. They are famous for the curry chicken bun, but we didn't get to try it.

Nice place with beautiful lakes and greenary.
Nice place with beautiful lakes and greenary. Hill view was stunning. Food was good. But, town road is narrow and students' driving would sometime be a nuisance. Higher education town with good university, college and international school.

Kampar has amazing food!
Kampar has amazing food! The market has everything that you could ever want. There are street stalls selling apam balik (a hard crepe with peanut filling), lo mai gai (glutinous chicken rice with peanuts and roasted pork), and in the market itself there are many stalls with great food. Just look for the long lines!

Quaint laid back town with good street food and history.
Quaint laid back town with good street food and history. If you are staying over, take a 30 mins drive to Kellie's Castle. Worth to explore this incomplete mansion/castle built by an Englishman.
