I greatly enjoyed the breakfast and the overall environment. I also enjoyed that everything (check-in, bikes, etc..) were easily accessible.
This historic mansion in Muiderberg is surrounded by a garden with a partly covered terrace. Guests can enjoy the quiet surroundings with Amsterdam only a 15 minute drive away.

Great quite location for a good base to see many of the surrounding cities. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and a very kind staff.

Beautiful location. Wish we could have stayed longer.
The hotel is affordable. But the staff is really the worst.
The hotel is affordable. But the staff is really the worst. They wade shocking mistake after shocking mistake, and never felt sorry for anything. Even when that meant giving us the key of an occupied room instead of ours, which had us wake up two half naked girls in the middle of the night..
Everything was so wrong ; the key cards would almost never work.
The reception hours were clearly not respected, and we were sometimes left out waiting in the night for them to actually arrive (check in is supposed to be almost 24/7, which was the reason why we had selected this hotel).
Even worse, when we tried to complain, they never treated our request and never answered, even after we had issued a complaint through the Booking platform. Just the worst.
Never coming back here.

If you want to visit bussum/narden check the weather...
If you want to visit bussum/narden check the weather forecast first.
It is not worthed more than a day: couple of hours to visit the city and walk around the wall then a lunch in one of the many restaurant.
In the "city"of Narden you will find a Design Center ( like a shop of top furniture brand) at the Bastion. Worth it.
The location was very good. Access to transportation was 24/7. A bit out of the city location with a metro fare for about £12 roundtrip but just one train to get to the city center. The metro is bang outside the hotel which makes it convenient. In all fairness, it is not heard in your room when the train pass. Parking is free. We would like to come back once the price is friendly. :)
Perfectly located in the center of the country. Pleasant neighborhood, easy motorway access & free parking. Staff was super nice and helpful. We know the hotel from way back when we lived in the Netherlands. Lobby and restaurant very nicely renovated. However the rooms are still the same as 20 years ago, clean, functional but could do with a makeover. Great breakfast!
Perfect location, right in front of the train station, where you can catch a train that takes you to Amsterdam Central in less than 30 min (and for a little less than 6 eur). Yet, there was no sound of trains to be heard inside the hotel. The room was quite big and comfortable, and the beds were good. I would recommend for a visit to Amsterdam!
It was very convenient for us to stay while there were some renovations being done to our house. It is very convenient to the train station, and is in a super quiet corner of the neighborhood (because the neighbors are all deceased, i.e., the hotel is next to a cemetery). Lots of parking in the P+R lot adjacent. Helpful staff.
Thoughtful service, nice brochure for dog's owners with walking routes, nearest veterinarians, and petshops, even pack of treats. 25€ fee for the stay.
Great location, beautyful neighborhood, 20 min to Amsterdam city center by car.
Comfortable, stylish, clean room with all you might need.
The hotel was what we expected for a Bastion hotel. Basic comfort. But the rate of euro 198 a night in that light too high. Friendly staff, charming reception area, bit old hallways with some parts smelling of smoke. Nice and calm neighborhood and good location next to station.
The hotel is very nice, clean, modern, and right next to the Metro stop. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there on our future visits to the Netherlands.
The hotel was amazing and the beds were a dream to sleep in. Staff was friendly and inviting. The area around the hotel was quiet. Value for money is excellent if you visit Amsterdam by car.
Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel, good location - really close to the train stations from you can easily reach the center of Amsterdam in 30 mins
Not modern, but clean and comfy rooms
very quiet hôtel perfect to relax. Nice bar with Nice terasse. excellent breakfast.
room : good bed, good airco. Nice bathroom
personnel pro and friendly
