Het Schoolhuis is located in the village Ferwert, and a 15-minute drive from Leeuwarden. It offers spacious and modern accommodations with free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Hello :) this was one of the best stays in my entire life. Nature, sea air, quiet nights and birds singing in the morning, very clean apartment (although we did not live in a separate house it was like a separate apartment upstairs with a fridge, 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms), delicious breakfast with local specialties like cheese and wurst/sausage and seasonal fruits, extremely comfortable bed, many little cute details (like bathrobe, cutlery, greeting drinks), mega-friendly hosts (THANK YOU VERY MUCH AGAIN!!!). Nothing to complain: balance between privacy and attention of the hosts.
Set in Blije in the Friesland region, Vegotel offers accommodations with free private parking. A fridge is also offered, as well as a kettle and a coffee machine. My boyfriend and I have spent a weekend in the hotel for hiking in the Wadden sea. The owners were very kind. They came to pick us up at the bus stop in the evening and they prepared bikes equipped with lights and locks for the day of our trip. The hotel was very clean and we have really enjoyed the breakfast. I really liked the attention that the owners pay to the details and the sustainability of the hotel. Absolutely recommended!
Located in Holwerd in the Friesland Region, De Groote Medwert features a sun terrace and views of the garden. The Wadden Sea is 3.1 mi away. Great breakfast provided by very friendly hostess/owner. The apartment was very large with inside bicycle storage, nice kitchen and bathroom. Extremely peaceful location in the country side.
Located in Birdaard, 30 miles from Sneek, Waterdorp Burdaard provides a garden and free WiFi. The location and the village is really nice with the view on the windmill and the frisian cities in easy reach over the roads crossing the landscapes. The house was very functional and new. Beautiful interior furniture pieces... The caretaker is straightforward and quick to handle any questions or concerns.
This B and B is not in an auspicious location yet it is a place with great ambiance. The reception was very warm and the hostess is an extremely interesting person. We wher on a walking holiday and expected a restaurant to be open in Ferwerd. Alas Cafe Het Hoekje was closed. We had to depend upon the local supermarket for food. Mrs. Hoogland is however very forthcoming with allowing guests to make their now provisions for an evening meal
The breakfast is legendary and Alice and Ferry are exceptional hosts. The village itself is cute and has a bar/cafe, bank, supermarket and good public transport to nearby Dokkum and Leeuwarden. The walking straight from the house is also great - particularly the path from Ferwerd to Dokkum via Burdaard.
