Do yourself a favor and have breakfast in the most serene place one can ask for. The breakfast here is a piece of love from the Dutch owner to the fortunate customers who get to know a slice of the Dutch tranquil country life. The back garden is bliss and so is breakfast with a view. The spacious, comfortable rooms are so tastefully decorated and have all the amenities that make a traveler's life a little better, inclusive of Marie Stella Maris cosmetics and a really strong power shower. The Green Room itself is a gem in itself, while the view makes you think of a Roman garden! But the real master is the owner: attentive, kind, generous and never too short of energy to look after whatever your needs may be. And while not connected with the property, the nearby beautiful park is a lovely after breakfast stroll.

Lovely house, very beautiful vintage decorated rooms, lovely cozy feeling, very comfortable beds, like marshmellows, lovely host.And a delicious breakfast, totally recommend it. Also very beautiful surroundings, 10 minutes walk to the city center, museums and a nice 11 minutes bus ride from the city center (bus 70) to old Giethoorn location.There you can walk along the beautiful canal, admire the beautiful houses, visit the Oude Museum and eat a tasty meal at one of the restaurants along the canal route.You can also ride a boat if you like.Overall, we had a perfect weekend and perfect sunny weather on Saturday.Thank you for the memories 🙂

It's not a bad little town.

It's not a bad little town. Lots of places to eat not far from the B&B. Clean streets. Some graffiti. I'm not sure what the draw would be for tourists, but I had business there and it was quite enjoyable.

Steenwijk is a charming town.

Steenwijk is a charming town. It's centrally located in an area with many opportunities to enjoy nature. There's also a beautiful villa, Rams Woerthe, and the Hildo Krop Museum inside it. Both are highly recommended. Be sure to stroll through the park near the villa.

Steenwijk is the ideal base for exploring Giethoorn.

Steenwijk is the ideal base for exploring Giethoorn. The town center is also pleasant, with plenty of opportunities for a cozy terrace or a delicious lunch or dinner. Rams Woerthe, with its beautiful park garden, is well worth a visit, and the Nettelbosch city garden is also a lovely place for a stroll.

Cozy. Quiet village. All the streets look neat. Pleasant village square with restaurants and cafes. The host recommended eating at "De Opschepper" in Steenwijk. It was very tasty and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this bistro.

Steenwijk is a charming town with plenty of sights nearby, including Giethoorn, dolmens, and forests. Steenwijk boasts charming restaurants and lively pubs. It offers peace and quiet, yet also plenty of entertainment. We enjoyed a delicious meal at De Opschipper. Afterwards, we went into town and ended up at Café Het Pantje, which was very welcoming.

Because I was able to leave later than expected, I was allowed to stay in my room after checkout time (11 a.m.). This was despite the fact that, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had checked in much too late the day before. Very kind! I was only there briefly, so I don't have any recommendations.

It's just 8 minutes walking distance from the Steenwijk train station and the no.70 / 270 bus stop to Giethoorn . It locates at the main square and the shopping area of the district, so It is really easy to find something to eat. The traditional decoration of my room It's fantastic! The staff are nice and helpful. The restaurant of the hotel is inviting, I wish I could have a chance to have dinner there, ( It was fully booked because of it popularity)

From the warm friendly welcome until our farewell, this will be the hotel that first comes to mind after 5 weeks of travel for all the right reasons. We visited this little charming Hotel for a short break. We really were surprised with how much attention to detail this Villa was eqipped.
