Nice restaurant / hotel in Vijlen. Position is great with big private parking in front of hotel. Small hotel (only a few rooms) above a nice restaurant (which I did not try unfortunately). My room (#4) was quite big with a big terrace with sun from morning till sunset. Room furniture is quite basic but everything is there. Bed is comfortable, even if two single beds next to each other instead of one queen bed. Bathroom is nice with big shower. Breakfast good with lots of salty and sweaty food, coffee on the contrary is of low quality and need improvement. Nice surroundings for walking, biking, and short driving to Limburg points of interest.

Lovely, rustic setting with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We were greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. The garden was great to relax in after a day of travel and the honesty bar was a welcome reminder of a society where people trusted each other. Breakfast was very nice, with a good selection of breads, cheeses, fruit and drinks.

The accommodation cannot be in a better location, our family loved it, our accommodation consisted of 2 separate rooms, double bed each, with views over the square. The breakfast was perfect. We only stayed one night unfortunately. The pannenkoekmolen, highly recommended, is walking distance, so is the Gulpener Brewery. Excellent setting, highly reccomend!

Excellent breakfast with fresh coffee refills. Good sized room for three people; spotless, nicely decorated. Small but functional bathroom. The best thing about this hotel is the owners. They are lovely and go out of their way to make you feel welcome with suggestions of things to do, places to eat and they always have time for a chat. There are a lot of games available to play downstairs in the evenings, which we enjoyed.

It's a really nice hotel that I liked and will rent in my free time.

The room was very quiet and the breakfast was great. The quality of the dinner we had at their restaurant was excellent. Definitely one of the best meals we have had during our 5 week trip through various European countries.

Restaurant is Top - a real “gourmet” menu!!! The junior suite- very comfortable… The view from the terrace is fantastic. The staff- very friendly…

Excellent hotel, we liked everything. Saw some famous dutch people. Junior suite was great, with a balcony facing the forecast and a lot of space. Note: hotel is not in a castle itself, it is in a building next to it. In the castle itself there is only breakfast place and a conference hall. Hotel had a parking, no issues with the car.

Beukenhorst is a wonderful family-owned and designed for a family vacation hotel. An outstanding example of a place where travellers probably stayed a hundred or two hundred years ago =) a quiet rural place where you can enjoy nature and serenity, at the same time it’s conveniently located on a road that will lead you to Maastricht or Aachen in just 15-20 mins. A beautiful old family house with antique furniture and many little details which you’d want to explore. Cozy rooms with everything you might need, comfy bathrooms and good bed linen. The owners are extremely nice people, besides if you decide to stay for dinner (you should request beforehand), you can learn their cooking skills which are superb. It’s a real exquisite and hand-crafted cuisine that would make any Micheline restaurant proud. We utterly enjoyed our stay and very much hope to return someday!
