Van der Valk Volendam is a 4-star hotel located in a peaceful rural area, just over 9.3 mi from Amsterdam. It benefits from an indoor pool and a spacious terrace overlooking a small lake. The hotel was warm and cosy. The food was delicious and all the staff were very helpful and good hospitality
Hotel Old Dutch is located directly along the famous harbor of Volendam. It features a seafood restaurant on site and rooms with wide views of the IJsselmeer or the village's historic center. Kind personnel at reception, excellent position, nice and comfortable room.
The intimate Hotel Van Den Hogen has 4 luxurious rooms, most with a beautiful view of the IJsselmeer. Enjoy nature walks, relaxing boat trips, or explore the area by bicycle. Wonderful location, near the lake front. Close to everything. Basic accommodation. but perfect for a short stay. Very good restaurant. WiFi worked. Very touristy place, but also many interesting thins around - Volendam Museum with amazing 'rooms' made of cigar bands, scenes from everyday life in The Netherlands in the past, small cheese museum, waffle demonstration, presentation on how wooden clogs are made, ferry trip t Marken and walks around the town. It was amazing trip.
Boutique hotel The Old Bridge, Volendam is located in Volendam, within 0.7 mi of Volendams Museum and 1.7 mi of Harbor of Volendam. Old town flair 😍 Very new and stylish decorated room . Comfortable, clean, quiet and directly at the nice little harbour and shops. Good Fishrestaurants and with the bike you can go along the hole sea . Excellent place .👍
Near the charming harbor, this stylish guesthouse provides light rooms and apartments, a bright bar area and a romantic Italian restaurant. Guests receive a free Wi-Fi connection. I would definitely recommend this place. Spent a weekend there, location is great, everything is close. We really enjoyed our stay there and the food was delicious. Host was very nice and helpful. The lady working at the bar was also really nice. :)
The Studio Guest house provides accommodations in Volendam. Boasting a shared lounge, the guest house is close to several noted attractions, around a 13-minute walk from Harbor of Volendam and around... Homey feel, location in a short walking distance to the center, breakfast, free parking.
Set in Volendam in the Noord-Holland region, with Volendams Museum nearby, Kuipers Bed and Breakfast offers accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. The hostess was very friendly and the place was generally clean. The location in Volendam was quite nice.

Being near the water is very relaxing! Take a walk, stop at the small 'museums' - cheese, waffles, clogs, visit Volendam Museum, eavesdrop on the guided tour, take ferry to Marken and visit their typical house where enthusiastic volunteer will tell you about life in the past. Taste the waffles, Dutch fries with mayonnaise, eat cheese and relax!
Nice crowded waterfront Nice restaurants Access to hotel is crazy, even impossible. Even the GPS was unable to find a different way to reach the hotel, according to the address given by the manager. The GPS was bringing us all the time to that hydraulic post that doesn't go down.
Volendam is only 30 mins by bus (316) from Amsterdam - but more comfortable rooms for less $ - lots of restaurants in town - easy cycling on good trails through countryside and canals to Marken fishing village SE or to Zaanse Schans historic area SW.
After paying in cash and then seeing room it was not like I was led to believe. They would not give my money back and I was so disappointed I refused to stay. I had to walk back to town, some distance in the rain. Room had no view at all, the add and selected reviews say it does and some open onto a terrace. But that also has no view just the dirty glass roof of the pool room below.
Unfortunately we did not realize that this supposed quaint fishing village close to Amsterdam is a tourist resort with very little other than souvenir shops, tour groups and overpriced restaurants and outlets with fried food. Just not our choice of destination and we only stayed there because accommodation was more 'reasonably priced' than Amsterdam.
There were many places to eat nearby and plenty of shops also. It was close to a lovely marina but was very busy with tourists at this time of the year. We enjoyed just walking along the waterfront and taking in the views.
