We did not like our original room and reported this to the staff. The manager then showed us 3 different rooms and was very accommodating. The food in the restaurant was very good and we ate dinner at the hotel 3 nights.

The best location between the river, falls, historic district and major roads. I had a front room with a little balcony onto the street. It's a beautiful old building being enhanced by updates to the interior. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, security measures in place at night, and historic elegance in gathering places.

This was a great spot for a short summer getaway, easily...

This was a great spot for a short summer getaway, easily accessible from Oslo. I stayed one night and spent most of my time hiking to gorgeous scenic overlooks. The location was superb for enjoying the outdoors. If I stayed longer, I would have gone swimming in the lake and spent more time relaxing in the sunshine.

Staff are very nice. Rooms are clean and big. Bathroom was huge in my room. Outside is tidy and looked after. There is a lot of other things to do. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of options to choose from.

Top class hotel that made the stay a great pleasure!

Top class hotel that made the stay a great pleasure! The facilities was very nice (including a rose garden in front of the entrance), with great design, everything clean, nice staff -and a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommendable for a stopover close to Oslo. Great value for money!
