⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Kaikoura Boutique Hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly sets this hotel apart. The room was impeccably clean and beautifully designed, providing a comfortable and luxurious stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the ocean from my room. It was the perfect backdrop to wake up to each morning. Additionally, the hotel's location is ideal for exploring Kaikoura - close to both the beach and town center. The hotel's restaurant offered a delightful culinary experience. The menu was diverse, and the food was expertly prepared. I particularly enjoyed the local seafood dishes which were fresh and delicious. What truly stood out was the level of service provided by the staff. They were always attentive, ready to assist with any requests, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable stay. I highly recommend the Kaikoura Boutique Hotel to anyone seeking a top-notch experience in Kaikoura. Whether for a romantic getaway or a relaxing retreat, this hotel offers the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so wonderful. I look forward to returning in the future.

Even if u don't go whale watching or dolphin chasing (we did not); go to Kaikoura for a couple of days and spend time with the seals, go to the lookout & South Bay; walk all or parts of the Kaikoura Peninsula Walk and go to The Point Sheep Shearing ($15 / person)

Returning after many years away and after the devastating earthquake, I was blown away by the beauty of the place, the exceptional service and the friendliness of every person we met in the town. From the supermarket to the Hotel, shops and cafes, everyone was so warm and welcoming- a great township to visit and a must -see for all overseas visitors- don't miss this little spectacular gem. Would love to have stayed longer.

    Kaikoura is a hidden gem.

Kaikoura is a hidden gem. So often travellers pass through or only stop for a refreshment break but there is so much more to discover. Wonderful eateries, great shopping, the beach, as well as whale watching and other organised tours. Highly recommend the Hapuku Kitchen Supper Club every second Fri for a gastronomic treat!

Kaikoura is a lovely town with extremely friendly locals, who all seem to say hello as they pass by. There is a great range of restaurants, cafes and shops, with plenty of variety to please everyone. The best restaurant we found was Zephyr, where the food was first class, the service friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and the wines.

The cottage is an absolute delight and it is quite beautiful - lovely stonework throughout and very careful use of both wrought iron and timber features. The place it huge with a large living area downstairs, a really special bedroom upstairs, and plenty of outdoor patios, and spaces for relaxing. The view down to Kaikoura and the sea is expansive and particularly lovely at night. A delightful forest walk starts next door and gives you the chance to see NZ native trees in their splendor.

This property was clean, comfortable and had kind staff. The view was beautiful and location was peaceful. Close to the Pier Hotel Restaurant which was good quality. Seal colony within walking distance. The bed was comfortable and had fresh linen. Nice bathroom and the shower had good water pressure. We had a upstairs unit and it was worth the price! We plan to come back here again for a much longer stay next time!

The lady on the reception desk, on our arrival, was lovely; she was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The rooms were minimalist but clean and very comfortable, with spa baths that the kids loved. The location of the hotel is good, not too far away from Kaikoura's main street and on the main thoroughfare in to and out of town.

Great location and value in Kaikoura, and bonus to have private parking (although only 4 spaces available!) A really nice seating area outside, perfect for a nice weather evening/morning. Lady at reception was friendly, and there were lots of leaflets with suggested activities to help decide how to enjoy our stay in the area.

Walking distance to nice restaurants, shops, café, well everything. It was just what we needed. Also has a good outside BBQ facilities and recycling area. Will go back! Thanks
