I chose this location as it was a short drive to Tawharanui Regional Park. Christine met me on arrival and showed me around and gave me excellent suggestions of what to see in the area. I only had an overnight stop but there was everything available that I needed in a lovely quiet setting. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the back deck where you could view the visiting wildlife and the bush walk down to the beach was handy.

Awesome area of the country.

Awesome area of the country. We stayed for 4 nights and ran out of time. We thought we would be done with the area in a few days and go back towards Warkworth and further afield to fill our time but we only went to Warkworth again on our trip back home. There is so much to do around Snells Beach, Matakana, Leigh that we would probably still ran out of time if we'd stayed there for 7 days or more. For dining strongly recommend Little & Local Bistro in Snells Beach and Matakana Village Pub
