This place is simply magical! we actually found it by mistake, and that mistake turned out to be the best accommodation of our trip. The lodge is beautiful and cosy with a few minutes walk to the river. Philip’s hospitality is truly one of a kind, warm, personal, and full of heart. The breakfast was delicious, generous, and thoughtfully customized just for us. A truly special stay and a very warm recommendation from us!

Clean, modern and well-designed motel unit set back off the street. It was very comfortable, had good WiFi , and a nice kitchenette. We didn’t see the staff but received an email with instructions on how to access the unit. Murchison is a small town and the motel is central. There is a hotel with a restaurant nearby to get an evening meal.

Comfortable bed with electric blanket with dual controls. Shower with good water pressure and immediate hot water. Excellent food in tavern, minimal waiting. Secluded, could see stars!

This property fit our needs PERECTLY. It is quite rustic but is a completely authentic woolshed that was historically used for shearing sheep. The apartment is a walled off corner in the larger shearing shed. We were able to make great use of the extra covered space in the shed for repacking our tramping gear while enjoying the comfort of the well-appointed apartment. Some travelers who are expecting Five Star accommodation are likely to be put off by farm odors and somewhat dated fixtures. We felt blessed to experience the inherent authenticity of the property. We could not have been more pleased with our experience.
