It was perfect for me as a solo traveler, although it is a 2 bedroom… the hosts left some lovely i think homemade pickles, cheese crackers and milk which was a very nice touch. It was quiet and very close to the beach.. about a 10-15 minute walk to the town… i loved it and would highly recommend this tiny home

It was a bit confusing finding the correct house as three were on the same driveway and the address on Booking.com was missing the A so I sat in front of the wrong house for 30 minutes waiting for someone to show up not knowing the owner was upstairs in the house at the end of the driveway. I asked several people on the driveway and the neighbours but no one seemed to know which house was the correct one. However it was a nice 2-bedroom place in a great location and very quiet. The bathroom had underfloor heating and a heated towel rack. I was a bit cold in the rest of the house and there was no central heating but the bed was extremely comfortable. There was no kitchen so we had to wash the dishes we used in the bathroom, but it is okay for an overnight stay.

Orewa is obviously exploding in population now that Highway...

Orewa is obviously exploding in population now that Highway 1 has gone split-lane nearby. That said, it was super easy to get around the town, the beach was outstanding, the neighborhoods all had great walking/cycling infrastructure and paths, and the food options were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Orewa has been our getaway place for 40yrs.

Orewa has been our getaway place for 40yrs. Changed a lot, but the walks are flat and facilities as good as the City. Untold cafe's, eateries and shopping. My advice, park the car and walk everywhere.

Orewa is a mecca for bars, cafes, restaurants and pubs.

Orewa is a mecca for bars, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Also for takeaaways of all types. The beach is definitely one of the best especially for children as it is safe. Orewa is also at the gateway to The whangaparia peninsular with its beautiful coves and nature trails. Great area. Can also acces the NX1 bus into central Auckland. Buses run to the late evening so another great benefit

We liked how close everything was and in walking...

We liked how close everything was and in walking distance.The beach is just a few minutes away from where we stayed.It is really easy to get around in orewa.The park by the beach was really good.We ate at mac donald’s .Favourite places were the op shops.

Location is good.Access to all eateries is in easy walking distance.Close to beach,playground and shops for the grandchildren.Units are comfortable with everything one needs.Ground level and ample free parking right outside units makes easy unloading and loading of car.Affordable rates.

Plenty of shops close to the beach but not noisy Great beach walking, with a great cycleway by the estuary Safe swimming Easy to get to the motorway to Auckland or over the hill north to Wenderholm Park.

I booked an apartment which was clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was excellent - you can see for miles around - and the bed was super comfortable. I have to say, the staff member who checked us in was really friendly and hospitable. The hotel itself is as centrally located as you can get for Orewa. If I was to return to Orewa, I wouldn't stop in any other location.
