Melissa and her husband were wonderful hosts, welcoming us onto their property with a tour of the grazing lands behind the hotel, introducing us to all their animals (friendly dogs, llamas, sheep, cattle, chickens, rabbits), and conversing with us throughout the evening. They gave us advice on our trip through Peru and seemed genuinely interested in our travels. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and secluded. They cooked dinner (15 soles, I think) and breakfast for us (2-3 soles pp) and both were delicious with farm fresh eggs.

Excellent location just outside of Huaraz. Quiet and peaceful, but still easy to access. Room was quiet and comfortable. Really hot showers which was a huge plus. Free reign of the kitchen which was great, able to cook meals since there isn’t much around in regards to eating our (which we thought was a huge plus!). Eva, the host, is super sweet and very helpful. Came and met us when our bus got in very very late to help us find the house. Overall a great stay, could not recommend more.

Villa Valencia went above and beyond our expectation! We booked the villa for 6 persons with 3 bedrooms. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was luxury. The villa was super clean. Our room was made daily. The staff even mops the floors outside daily! The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and blankets were of high quality. Breakfast was also really delicious and well balanced. There is a water filtration which also saved us from buying bottled waters. The staff were so genuine and helpful! Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. Very affordable villa for all it offers!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. We actually moved from another hostel where the noise was a major issue. We didn’t have any problems here. Our room was large, well furnished (closet, drawers, desk, chair and shelving in the restroom) and with a comfortable bed. The shower was lovely with great water pressure and very hot water. AND y’all, there were multiple power outlets in the room. There’s SEVERAL different hang out areas in the hostel as well, including 3 separate patios, outdoor terrace and two full living room areas. The location is great, within walking distance to restaurants, stores and sights. The staff were very accommodating and kind. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The folks who run the Golden Killa are great. Their little hotel on the hill is beautiful, with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. It’s only a short walk to the Plaza de Armas. The room was comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed. Breakfast downstairs was great. Every morning we had coffee or tea, juice, fresh bread with jam, and our choice of eggs, cheese, chorizo, or avocado. They also have a lunch/dinner menu we could order from when we were exhausted from tours and weren’t up to going out. They also have full service laundry, which was a huge bonus for us after more than a week on the road.

Our stay at Maimara Hotel was amazing. The hosts are incredibly friendly and communicative; they are there to answer any questions you may have. The breakfast was delicious (especially the coffee) and the views amazing. The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the main downtown (and touristy) area of Huaraz, but the neighborhood is quiet and safe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Maimara Hotel!

The place is beautiful and the house is amazing. The room is super clean and worm. I was sleeping like a baby (which is so rare..) The food was delicious. Also the Thai food was so good !! The staff are all very nice. But above all is Zarela - such a wonderful woman. She gave me a lot of good tips, and I really enjoyed our conversations. 10 out of 10 !!!

The whole team did everything they could to make our stay the best possible. They organized rides for us, gave us packed breakfasts when we had early hikes, recommended amazing restaurants, and cooked a really great dinner 😀 Highly recommended
