Nice city to relax. A bit expensive to travel in a big city. Biking around beach is nice. Downtown and miraflores are nice spots yet a bit more expensive and busy to find cool spots easily. Bring a local along for sure to avoid the hassle.
We stayed in Barranco district which was super artsy and walkable. I recommend the Barranco Beer Company and Barbarian brewery - both brew delicious craft beers. We ate one night at the Larcomar and I thought it was overrated. The mall itself is overpriced and very upscale. Not really what we were looking for. The Indian Artisanal Market in Miraflores is the perfect place to get all your souvenirs and it is so large you could easily spend an entire day walking the narrow corridors looking for all sorts of gems. The Parque Kennedy otherwise known as the cat park has so many precious cats roaming around and I recommend anyone stop to pet some cute cats and relax in the greenery.
We loved Machu Picchu, which was the reason for our trip. Lima was too warm & too crowded for our liking. We didn’t end up doing as much as we wanted in Lima as the traffic was so bad that it took too long to get to/from different places.
Fascinating city. Much more interesting than expected. Lima is under-rated as a tourist destination. We were using Lima’s a stopover on the way to Macchu Piccu but soon realized it was worth coming back for a longer stay. Lot’s of interesting places to visit and excellent restaurants too.
My friend and I loved the short time we had to explore Lima. We stayed in the Miraflores district and enjoyed the beautiful walk from the lighthouse down to the Parque de Amor and on to Larcomar. It was really lovely and the weather was great. The last day of our trip to Peru, we returned to Lima and explored the charming historical downtown area with all its architecture, shops, and the local market. We could have spent a lot more time in Lima.
We should have skipped it... Stayed in Lima for 3 nights/4 days -Went to Lancomar, took a city bus tour and went to Pachacama ruins. Didn't like the food either.. Nothing special, could've easily skipped..

I’ve stayed in different hotels in Lima before, and Selina is the best one so far. In the very center of Miraflores, very funky design, vibrant atmosphere. My room was quiet, very big and clean, very comfortable. I had an access to common kitchen also big and very clean every time I used it (only to make a cup of tea, but it was nice to have this opportunity). The stuff is amazing, kind, nice, very helpful. Highly recommended place to stay. A little bit over my normal budget but it was worth it:) Thank you for great experience:)

Miraflores Guest House is one of the cheapest places in Miraflores with a good rating. They really deserve the good rating and offer excellent value for money. Great WiFi and good hot water. Big and clean room. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. A short walk to Parque Kennedy, safe any time of the day. We felt wonderfully free being able to walk around at night, a real treat in South America. We didn’t use the kitchen because we came to Lima to eat Peruvian food but it’s nice they have coffee and tea.

Great value for price, nice staff, best taxi- airport price you can get in Lima, clean toilets and rooms, great location, fast wifi. You are not staying in a 5 star hotel. But for the money you pay you are getting a really good deal. Often hostels that cheap are dirty, the bed is hard, the walls thin and the street noise to loud. Not with this one. My girlfriend and I stayed one night (transit time between flights) and hopped for a clean shower (shared) and a comfortable bed. We got it :-)

The place is magic! You feel as thrown back in time a hundred years. It smells wonderful from the sea! Beautiful restaurant area that makes you feel as a princess/prince with very nice food and pisco sour. Breakfast is fine! Rooms are nice and a beautiful garden. Note this is in Callao and not in Lima. That means It's closer to the airport but far from Lima city centre or Miraflores. It is very close to the sea lion excursion that we highly recommend.

The apartament is nice and is very close to Miraflores. In 10 minutes you arrive walking to the Larcomar mall. In front if the hotel it is a bus station where you can take the bus 301 to Lima, old city. Very good internet, one of the best I had in a hotel in South America. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen area is very good prepared with everything what someone need. The whole apartment is looking very nice and new.

No more than 10 minutes from the Miraflores shopping centre Larcomar and food store just 1 minute away from apartments. Owners are very helpfull. This is one of the best hostels you are likely to encounter in South America. Sandra and her team are super helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and well kept with a good breakfast, well equipped kitchen and an abundance of communal areas inside and out. Barranco is a lovely part of Lima and if you need your fix of Miraflores, it is only a 30-40 min walk or 10min Metro bus away.

AMAZING staff - every single employee was incredibly kind and helpful. This was the last of 6 different hostels/hotels we stayed in during our time in Peru, and by far the employees here were the best (which is saying a lot!). The hostel also was very clean and cute, and had a cool rooftop. Convenient location in Miraflores, near Kennedy park with a quick walk to Larcomar.

Beautiful property and amazing manager! The location is perfect in the best part of Miraflores. The apartment was so spacious, comfortable and clean. It made me feel both in luxury and at home and is way cheaper than a hotel of equivalent luxury. The property manager was extremely responsive at all times with whatever I needed. Would LOVE to come back and stay again.

Location, location, location! In the heart of Miraflores, and a short walk to a gorgeous ocean view. Staff were warm, friendly and absolutely eager to help. Spotless rooms and bathrooms, amazing breakfast. When I come back to Lima, I will stay here again. Also, it was fairly quiet - rare in many Peruvian hotels! And tons of hot water!

Maria was very helpful in communicating (Spanish-only and via translation app). Pickup from/to airport easily arranged. Close to airport. Should be considered a very utilitarian option if you need to be near airport. Compared to properties in Miraflores (for instance) this does not rate too favorably.
9.5 Exceptional 107 reviews
The homely feel, the beds, the facilities, the wall plugs by the bed, the rooftop bar, the location is also conveniently located between Miraflores and Barranco. Most importantly Marco is very helpful and offers great tips about Lima. Best hostel I have ever stayed in all my time travelling 😁

This modern and chick hotel, everything simple, but elegant. Located in prestigious area Miraflores, close to beach with breathtaking views. There is available airport shuttle with reasonable price. No breakfast included which takes away some points. Otherwise we had comfortable stay there.

I had a wonderful stay at the Inkari Luxury Hotel. The hotel exceeds my expectations of a four star hotel. The staff is very helpful and will do their utmost best to make your stay excellent. The location close to Kennedy Parc and the Inka Market in Miraflores is very convenient.

The hotel is in a very lively part of Miraflores, there are loads of bars and restaurants around. The room was very spacious with comfortable beds, and nice bathroom. The hotel arranged airport pickup for us, and were very helpful with everything.

Good location just across the road from the aiport. Pretty quiet and restful given the location. Easy to get tourist bus to miraflores. The food and bar were both very good. Not a bad vibe for an airport hotel.
