In Aguas Calientes, Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is a colonial-style property that features massage sessions and an Andean sauna. The spacious rooms feature tile floors and sitting areas. It was a true highlight of our trip! We stayed for two nights here, but next time will plan more time here. The room was perfect, we had a fireplace what made the evening very cosy. But a special compliment goes to the eco club team. We did a couple of complementary excursions (bird watching, tea making, orchids walk) and enjoyed it very much! All the guides were very competent and we learned a lot!

incredible place with fanatic view from Huayna Picchu. since ticket to Huayna Picchu only have the access to the lower area of Machu Picchu. i should have bought another ticket (circuit 1-4) to visit the upper level. unfortunately, i realized this too late and all tickets were sold out
Amazing and clear as to why it’s the 7th wonder of the world! This is a must do in life. The hike is ok but prepare for the altitude as it can be challenging for some. The beauty on a clear day is truly amazing. We traveled by Inca Rail and it was right on time but the worker strikes were not good! We were very lucky to make it up from Cuzco and to MP! Be aware of the politics in the area as you travel. Our guide was amazing and highly recommend you pay for the guide as there is so much to learn and he made sure the hike was structured so we would see the best sites for pictures! The only downside is they charge at the top to use the toilet so plan ahead and bring cash.
One of the 7 wonders of the world, you feel completely in a different world when walking through the ruins. We had circuit 4 with Huayanapicchu, bare in mind that only 400 people have the chance daily to climb the mountain, so get your tickets early. Overall great experience, but they get you on every corner with different expenses (train from Cusco, bus from Aguas Calientes is 24$, guide etc).
Machu Picchu was breathtaking. We enjoyed our hike up Machu Picchu Mountain and our sightseeing tour of the ruins. The views were phenomenal. We stayed at the Runas Inn and that was an incredible value for our stay. The staff was supportive and helpful. We would highly recommend. Even in the winter Aqua Calientes can get quite warm so layers while exploring and hiking are key--by noon you can wear shorts in July!
My only suggestion is don't do the day trip. I arrived a day and a half before my tour, hung out in the village, then stayed 2 days after. Did the hot springs twice. It was the perfect length, 4 full days
The best place on earth. *Good hiking trail, nature at it's best and a breath of fresh air. The best spot is from the classic photo view spot. *Restaurants in 'Aguas Caliente' offer menu (as it is called) for an affordable price and you can pick something interesting from the menu (which maybe more expensive) if you want. *Getting to Machu Picchu depends on you: via train which leaves from either POROY or Ollantaytambo. Train cost about 65 dollars for foreigners and less than 4 dollars for locals (including residents irrespective of your nationalities). *Avoid procrastination :)
Eveything is perfect. Nice staff. Helped us a lot. Came to the station to lead us to the hotel. They even can help to print your ticket to Machupicchu. Leave a room for us to take a shower after hiking. Breakfast is good. The facilities are well functioning. Best hot water I got in Peru. With a view of mountain and sound of river. Laundry store is just 20 meters away. 5 sol per kilo. Highly recommended. If I come to machupicchu again, I will definitely live here.
The hotel was in a perfect location, next to the railway with a direct river view and only a 2 minute walk to the bus stop for catching the buses up to Machu Picchu. The owner (Rosa) is a machine, nothing is too much trouble, we even saw here checking the lines in the morning for a quest to let them know when to enter the queue for tickets in the main square and she personally walked us to the bus ticket office, couldn't recommend the Sacred Stone enough.
Machu Picchu
We loved our view from the window, large full wall window overlooking the mountain. Our room was on the fourth floor, the railway is located below. Very close to the bus to Machu Picchu. Close to the railway station. The breakfast was in the cafe opposite the hotel, the breakfast was sufficient. The staff is responsive and ready to help. The room was comfortable, the hot shower had good pressure.
Omg. I don’t know where to start. This is such an adorable little hotel. With all the amenities of a huge chain. I travel fir business. And I have stayed in hotels all over the world. I didn’t know what to expect but I have to say. For my next time here in Aguas Calientes there is no other place where we will be staying. Thanks for giving us such a pleasant comfortable stay.
- Great location in the heart of Aguas Calientes, very close to the bus to Machu Picchu - A nice room for one night as a stopover on your way to Machu Picchu - WiFi provided but pretty weak - Helpful and nice staff - we couldn't have our breakfast at the hotel, so we got breakfast boxes to go - Possibility to store your luggage during your stay at Machu Picchu
Aguas Calientes is a very small town, so clearly the hotel was in a good location near to the center. They prepared a nice breakfast for us very early in the morning before going to Machupicchu. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helped us book a dinner at a restaurant.
The location was convenient, the breakfast was good and the owner was a pleasure to meet. What I'll never forget is how helpful the employees were. They carried our heavy luggage to and from the hotel and train station, and I can not thank them enough.
Machu Picchu
Staff was extremely helpful and very nice. We were met at the train station and guided to the hotel personally. Rooms were clean, the location was convenient, and the view was amazing! Breakfast was available on schedule and was very delicious.
Perfect and very comfortable place Excellent location, right next to the train station and the bus to machu picchu The reception was very good and the bedding impeccable Bonus: the hotel staff speaks English and also French
The kind reception lady managed to check us in early as we were quite sick and tired from Inca Trail. Hotel is easy to spot. Nice balcony view. Was the only breakfast hotel buffet in my Peru trip that had BACON!
It was clean, hot water and confortable bed. The girls at the reception were kind and helpful. The hotel have money change and had the best rate we could find at aguas calientes. The breakfast was good.
The staffs were friendly and attentive! I love how the hotel is nestled into natures and mountains! It feels so serene. I would totally recommend this hotel and I would love to stay here again!
As the staffs are so helpful and their service/advice was great, I do love this hotel. Location is good and they pick me up at the station as their offer that was also amazing service!
