Machupicchu Guest House is located in Machu Picchu, within 4.5 miles of Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary and a 3-minute walk of Craft Market. The room was cozy and clean, the water was very hot, the staff was soooo kind and helpful, breakfast is served in a proper time according to the tour times, they provide you with further services upon requested and always with the warmest of smiles. Note: you should run the entrance glass door sideways, not push it lol we spent 5 desperate minutes after the Hidroelétrica hike trying to contact them inside only to find I had been stupid enough to not figure out the door slides sideways.

A must see for anyone who enjoys nature, the mountains, and pre-colombian history. It's easier for younger people / people in shape (my parents struggled a bit with all the walking). I would definitely recommend getting to Machu Picchu in the morning or afternoon to walk around Aguas Calientes, sleep there that night, and the morning after go right up Machu Picchu. After seeing Mapi there's not much else to do in Aguas Calientes so you could take a train back to Ollanta or Cusco.
I have a compromised 66 yr old knee, so taking a cane along to navigate all the stairs was a must. Much energy & attention was focused on avoiding a misstep. That aside, I FELT LIKE I WAS IN HEAVEN! It had rained that morning & we had a 1pm entry. We were greeted by thin wisps of clouds wafting across the mountains.
Take every moment to enjoy this mystical place! Would highly recommend getting the earliest ticket (6:00 a.m.) and bus (5:30 am) available - we were able to avoid the large crowds. Be very strategic on the path that you take to tour the site as you cannot backtrack.
Bought tickets for the bus the day before it was easy and there were no long queue & also when we took the bus the next morning. Our entry into Machu Picchu was for 10.00 am and there was no long queue. We were very fortunate to have great weather when were in Machu Picchu. However by 12 noon Machu Picchu got more crowded. The bus coming down had a long queue but thankfully Consentur sent up empty buses to clear the crowd which was a great move. But the next day it was a totally different scene altogether as there was an extremely long queue waiting to catch the bus to go up to Machu Picchu.
Excellent bucket list check experience! The view is amazing and totally worth the hike. The hike itself did seem a bit dangerous at times though, especially when it began to rain. The rocks were slick and there is no rail/guard on the edge of the pathway up the mountain. Experienced hikers should be fine. Take lots of water!
We had a great guide from Kuoda travels. He had gotten tickets for the bus, entrance to the site and Machu Picchu mountain hike. The hike takes about 3 hours round trip. The climb is purely stairs, so you have to be in reasonably good shape. Some of the stairs are very narrow. A tourist fell on the day we were taking the hike. The site is incredible. The guide did a great job of explaining the Inc history and culture The lines for the bus back get crowded. It took us almost 1 hour to get to the bus

Can’t say enough how great this hotel is and so unexpected for such a tourist trap destination. Room, food, drinks, location, and property are all top notch but what sets this place apart is the service. It’s outstanding and what hotels rarely achieve these days. All of the staff were exceptionally accommodating and responsive. Percy is a great bartender and dedicated to ensuring the customer experience is top notch and memorable. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a bit of luxury or romance.

The family who runs the hotel is very helpful, they printed out our tickets and kept our luggage when we were in Machu Picchu. Honestly after reading other comments saying that there’s a hill to climb to go to this hotel i was a bit afraid but it’s actually so close to train station and it’s just a street with restaurants that you have to pass which means it’s actually very good located. The rich buffet breakfast starting at 4.30a.m. is really good too before going a long hike to Machu Picchu mountain.

Hotel is located next to the railway, 2min walk from the bus to Machu Picchu. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, they told us to buy a bus ticket the moment we arrived, and thus didn’t have to stand in line for 30mins the morning we wanted to take the bus. One thing, our room was located at the side of the river, which is amazing to look at, but could be a bit noisy for people. However we didn’t mind & had earplugs. Another plus: hot shower & decent breakfast!

After reading so many reviews on booking, I have expected the worst hostels/hotels in Peru. But, I can recommend this hostel + friendly and helpful receptionist + pick up from the train station + tasty lunch box for the Machu Picchu + big room (not cold at all) -quiet area + shower (cold/warm/hot; whatever you prefer) + TV in the room and breakfast room for watching the World Cup +paying by card without the 5% rule

Nice river/mountain view out of window, very good customer service. Bellboy waiting at train station upon our arrival and helped bring our luggage back to train station on departure. Close to the Machu Picchu bus stop. After our whole day tour to the mountain, hotel has a spare room ready for us to take shower before going to train station, which is very much appreciated. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal service with very polite staff. Awesome pisco tasting at the restaurant before dinner. Beautiful views. One of the best things was they let us use their facilities to shower after we checked out and visited machu picchu and hiked machu mountain. Also a really good restaurant in the hotel. Pricey compared to other food in peru but not outrageous and totally worth it.

The staff was wonderful. They helped with so much. They gave us cost and destination recommendations and even stored our bags for several nights even though we were not staying in the hotel anymore nights. Breakfast was great. The location is the best in the city. Walking distance to main square, San pedro market, and best restaurants. Clean rooms with comfortable bedding.

On the edge of Aguas Calientes, but still a very short walk to the markets and train station. Very clean and modern location, and excellent value for the money. They sent someone to retrieve us from the train station which was awesome to take the stress of finding the hotel out of the trip.

The hotel was beautiful. Open air walkways with fresh flowers. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast included made to order eggs, fresh fruit and juices and delicious Peruvian coffee. We would have stayed more than one night if we hadn’t had rail tickets back to Cusco.

All of staff members are so kind and helpful. They sincerely support their guests. The hotel is not that big but classic and so clean. What I am impressed, especially, staff wears hair cap even when he just arranges some food for breakfast. And it is located near by train stations.

Quiet, hot showers with good water pressure, a comfortable bed, and a clean room. Exactly what you need after arriving to Aguas Calientes before your visit to Machu Picchu. The hotel is very close to the bus stop and has storage for your main bags while you are out for the day.

Hotel room was very clean with adequate lightning, luggage storage, and bathroom space. Shower was hot and water temp/pressure was excellent. This was my favorite hotel in all of Peru. Our room overlooked the river. Rooms are modern and updated. Will definitely stay at Casa Andina hotels again in the future and recommend to my friends and family.
