Machupicchu Adventure Hotel, hotel in Machu Picchu

Located in Machu Picchu and with Machu Picchu Hot Spring reachable within a 10-minute walk, Machupicchu Adventure Hotel has concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout...

The hotel was great. My husband and I stayed in the Double bed with mountain view for our Ten Year Anniversary and it was the perfect stay. At first we got put in the wrong room, but when I pointed that out, they fixed the issue right away. The room smelled clean and the view was dreamy. It's out of the way so it was quiet except for the train when it passed by, but that only happened during the day. It is close enough to everything you need and felt extremely safe. The breakfast was simple but great. The juice and coffee was fresh and the eggs were offered to be made to order. The rooms are decorated well so it didn't feel boring in the room. I would stay here again if I visited the town.

I went to Machu Picchu 2 times over 2 days.

I went to Machu Picchu 2 times over 2 days. I scheduled it this way in case of bad weather, and to optimize my chances of seeing clear views. The hike from/to Aguas Calientes to/from Machu Picchu entrance is incredibly strenuous due to all the stairs. Meanwhile the bus option means waiting in a long time (it was a 1-hour wait for me starting at 7:40 AM, and a 20-minute ride). Between the 2 options, they took the same amount of time. Circuit 2 was amazing. Machu Picchu and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. From 6:30 AM -7:30 AM in October there was fog, and then it started to lift. It was crowded from 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM, but it was excessively crowded my second day from 9:30 AM - 12 PM as there were more tour times during that window. Circuit 3 includes less of the major areas in the citidel, but climbing Huayna Picchu was rewarding. There were people of all ages hiking up Huayna Picchu. The stairs are very steep, and the "stairs of death" are short in depth. Some people said they used their hands to climb the stairs. There were a lot of traffic jams. A guide is necessary, at least for your first visit - you will get a lot more out of your experience. You can arrange one in advance. Many approached me as I was waiting in line for the bus. I was very happy with my guide Amoroso from the 5-day Salkantay Trek with Machu Picchu Reservations. 2 soles for the toilet, which has toilet paper, soap and water. $12 one-way or $24 round-trip for the bus. Vendors sell bottled water, Gatorade, Coca-Cola, and sandwiches. There is also a restaurant and a locker area, which I didn't use.

Machu Picchu is amazing and a must see location to enjoy the wonders of our planet. The place is well run and organized. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Additionally I would recommend a stay in Machu Picchu pueblo as it's a cute and safe town, worth the trip on its own.

Machu pichu is quite spectacular and set in an equally spectacular natural setting. However the queues for the train, the bus going up, the entry, the toilets, the cafe, and the 800 metre queue for the bus back, together with the precipitous stairs and the congested trails through the site, greatly diminished the enjoyment of the experience . Waiting times amounted to several hours, often in the sun. And this was with pre-purchased tickets. Weigh up a visit carefully. We enjoyed our stay at Ollantaytambo much more - a nice little rural town with fabulous archeology and Peruvian culture

What a great hotel. The location is great as it is a short walk to the train station and the bus station. There are many places to eat nearby. What we did like was that it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. In additon the water was very hot which is something we have not found often in Peru. If you have to leave for Machu Picchu before it is time for breakfast they will make you some food to take with you. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend staying here.

This hotel is very clean and well-maintained. Muchas turistas come specifically for going up Machu Picchu, and the hotel offers gratis left luggage cloak room services inside a closet. There is steady hot water in the shower and the internet is reliable. The manager arranged for a trusted English-speaking guide who met me at the hotel at 5:30 am. Desayuno is served from 5 am to 8 am, so I was able to eat breakfast before going up Machu Picchu.

Bed was comfortable, shower was hot, staff were helpful, we could leave our luggage on the last day, location was very good (close to the train station and bus stop). Breakfast was fine, we appreciated the fresh fruit. Breakfast started at 5am so great if you want to get up early to visit Machu Picchu. One of the only hotels we've stayed in in Peru to have bedside lights.

Good option to stay in Águas Calientes. It is located a little bit far from the main center, but in a very short walk (about 5 minutes) you reach the artisan market, train station and restaurants. The hotel itself is nice. The staff is friendly. The room is big, clean and confortable. The breakfast is ok, but could be improved.
