We stayed in the General Luna area and was a bit surprised to see how much trash and dirty areas were in the area. We were told to visit Cloud 9 and its nice for surfing, but dirty area, dirty restaurants, and very dirty streets. We stayed for 4 days and 4 nights. It was enough if you just want to explore the nearby spots, and go island hopping. But if you plan to really do a good long staycation, 4 days is not enough. There is still a lot we were not able to do. We both love the vibe of General Luna and Siargao as a whole. Well first impressions is the town is very spread out and hot so riding a motorbike/scooter is essential to really enjoy this place. It has a very fun vibrant night life with hundreds of young travellers, great food options, live music everywhere. Gave us very good tips for the island. The room itself was very nicely equipped, especially for emergency power cuts (like ventilators, lamps etc.). The staff was very polite and maintains the rooms and garden to the smallest details. There is a shared kitchen area with complimentary water.
