Moalboal is a good and nice place to stay . I highly recommend the place to both local and foreign tourists. But I can not recommend which resort to stay . Not for those seeking modern day comfort with big malls and cinemas, etc.. but suitable for those seeking adventure, thrills amidst the laid-back village/town setting with friendly people around. Been in Moalboal in 2023 and you could really see the difference, beaches and Sardine run/Turtles were covered with dirt (in the water). Barangay should understand that if they go on like this: Moalboal will be almost empty within 10 years....what a shame! Environmental fee should be used properly! And the deal with all trike drivers to charge 50 peso a person is also outracheous... not funny if you travel all around the Philippines and you only encounter something like that in Moalboal.Guest review byLeon vd BosNetherlands - 8.0

Lovely little village which has everything tourists could need or want in a relatively small area. For us, it was a bit too touristy and especially the beach area where you can go in the water to see the turtles and sardines. This was totally out of control with way too many people and no sense that the "environmental charges" were being put to good use (or any use for that matter). Moalboal is a very good base to do nature adventures - sardine runs, sunbathing, chasing waterfalls, canyoneering, hiking, or simply eating & drinking & having a good & safe time & chilled if one simply wants to relax, in a good budget way!!! Locals were very nice, public transportations abound, and nearby cities’ attractions are very accessible either by motorbike or Ceres Bus (cheaper if 2 options) and budget friendly.Guest review byLornaUnited States - 10.0

Did 4 days in Moalboal and squeezed in Canyoneering, snorkelling with sardines & turtles & a boat trip & watched the sunset at White Beach Loved the centre, loads of nice food places for breakfast & dinner and lovely bars. Had great food at Hungry Monkeys, Greek Taverna, Mercado food hall and breakfast at Bawud & Chief Mau Panagsama beach great for snorkelling, we sat at Cabana both days we did this and used as a base buying drinks & snacks and heading in & out if the sea. White beach nice for swimming & watching the sunset. We rented a little hut and there was a bar next door for drinks & food. The place itself is not marked, there are no signs for a guest house, but basically it's the last building on the street. You can rent snorkeling gear cheaper than on the main road or on the beach. As I understand they also help you to put on tours, so no need to book in advance as I did (and therefore paid extra). A tip: Exchange money before coming here, really hard to find a place that would exchange money (there's one at a hotel resort, 1 km walk)!Guest review byArnisLatvia
