I visited Olsztyn to see a friend who lives there, and...

I visited Olsztyn to see a friend who lives there, and believe me, it's well worth seeing. More than enough to see and do, and unlike the major hubs like Krakow or Wroclaw, it's still not overly commercialised. Fantastic architecture, awesome history, excellent value for money. Definitely one to tick off the list if, like myself you love Poland.

Olsztyn is a small town and for a winter visit there is not much to do. However, probably in summer one can visit the nearby lakes. I also visited Gietrzwald sanctuary. The old city centre is cute. The waiters and people there are kind.

Olsztyn is a charming city surrounded by stunning lakes and lush forests, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers. The Old Town is cozy and picturesque, with beautiful brick architecture, including the Gothic castle where Nicolaus Copernicus once worked. It’s a peaceful place with plenty of cafes and restaurants, ideal for relaxing strolls. The people are friendly, and the city has a calm, welcoming vibe while still offering cultural events and modern amenities. A great spot for a weekend getaway or a base to explore the beautiful Warmian-Masurian region!

Quaint historic city with Teutonic vibes.

Quaint historic city with Teutonic vibes. Small enough to navigate but significant enough to enjoy the grandeur of this regional capital. Great for a stopover, and for trekking the Way of St. James route, and exploring the wider Mazuria region!

Olsztyn is somewhat out of the way for many visitors to...

Olsztyn is somewhat out of the way for many visitors to Poland. However, I was very interested to visit the Wolf's Lair, and Olsztyn was close by. The charm of the city is the delightful people who are so welcoming. This is a visit I shall not forget.

The old town is nice to roam around.

The old town is nice to roam around. There are multiple lakes in walking distance, if you have a pet or want to cool down yourself. The town organizes a lot of events especially during the summer that can be attended by both locals and tourists (check out https://mok.olsztyn.pl). There are coffee shops open at 8 for the early birds and other venues that close at midnight for those who prefer to stay out late. My favorite restaurant was the Karczma Nad Łyną, that serves really good food and has a nice terrace as well.

Excellent hotel, I'm staying there for the second time. It's a great space with amazing nature and comfortable spacious spa. The food options are great too.This time I've booked the accommodation with dinner included -- I highly recommend it, it saves a lot of money instead of ordering a la carte and you get access to amazing buffet.

I have already stayed twice when I was in olsztyn. The price was affordable and the location is close to old town and train station and other important areas. My rooms were clean on both occasions and it is a self check-in hotel however the instructions were clear. For the price I can't complain about anything.

We really liked the hotel, the room, the SPA zone, and the breakfast. We also rented bicycles (city type bikes) to ride the beautiful trails around the lake. There were 4 bicycles in total, as far as I understand.

The location of the Hotel was Central. The room was great, spacious and clean. I would have liked a better selection of Hot food like bacon for example. The cold buffet was good.
