At Vista Verde, you really feel that you are in Puerto Rico. The balcony looks out over lush thick jungle greenery. A nearby COQUI frog croaks and reminds you that it is HIS territory. The only noise is natural. You sleep like a tree at Vista Verde. You take a pleasant 45 minute walk along a picturesque road. A restaurant and food store invites you. The road brings you to the El Yunque National Park entrance. From there, the magic of El Yunque holds you. The Vista Verde rooms are lovely, immaculate and well-planned. Excellent cooking facilities and a guaranteed hot shower complete the picture.

Héctor is Awesome!! He is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was quick to research and response to our questions. The property is Beautifully decorated with an ocean theme. I loved the blue iridescent wall with the sand colored head board. And the view is out of an out of this world… Turquoise ocean waters, waves softly crashing in and palm trees line up the beach. The water came to my knees most of the time. And I’m 5’1” 😊 We would definitely stay here again!! 🥰

We loved the location. It allowed us the convenience of walking directly out to a calm, peaceful beach without having to go to the overcrowded public beach. The kitchen was properly stocked and the unit was clean with an excellent view.

    Nice beaches in the area. We liked the town and nearby restaurants in the town. Rental car needed to get around. However, we didn't spend much time at the Kioskos restaurant area as it was very crowded, even on weekdays.

    Luquillo is very laid back so beach wear is acceptable everywhere. Very small town with perfect beaches. Limited dining options. Close proximity to El Yunque & Fajardo . Friendly town but small. Local restaurants up charge for tourists and down charge for locals so it helps to speak Spanish as well. Kiosks were not impressive. Menus were pricey compared to other kiosk pricing. Luquillo is all about the beach for us.

    Selected to stay here because of its proximity to El Yunque. Found a great reasonably priced hostel/lodge on a lovely beach Cute town with some good restaurants. Would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommend.

    Suprisingly nice blend of beach experience with the benefits of the local suburban community with the conveniences of grocery stores, gas, drug stores, etc. The local beaches are nice, Playa Luquillo and Playa Azul, have different feel, good beach experiences for north shore Atlantic Ocean side. The kioska at Luqillo Beach offer some good eats and drinks. This location is convenient by car to Fajardo, San Juan, and the Rain Forest.

    Lovely, friendly, informal beach town. We really liked it. All very walkable. Our favorite breakfast place was Coffee Therapy. Good coffee, good breakfast and very nice staff. La Fonda is a very good restaurant.

    Nice place. Lovely view. Spacious apt w high ceiling. Genuine location with local life, including chicken, dogs, cats, lizards in the street. A nice colony of pigeons resting on window sylls. Area feels safe. 4 min walk W to stable bar (great location, open day time) and beach (and stream), and 7 min walk E to beach towards Luquillo. Best spot on NE PR. Good host. Stayed 17 nights. Would return.

    The location is nice! Easy to get to El Yunque and Luquillo Beach, where you can find diverse restautants and bars nearby. Free breakfast is provided and the view from our room is beautiful! The shower water is strong, so we can clean ourselves quick and comfortable after a sweaty tour.
