Hotel in La Digue
Located in La Digue, Patatran Village Hotel is located overlooking the beachfront and features a year-round outdoor pool. My first impression of Seychelles was not great at all… But that was almost 3 weeks ago… One place in particular has changed my mind about this nation — Northern part of La Digue island and one amazing hotel that calls it home — Patatran hotel. I never really mention any hotel so this is truly a special place. No construction noises, no boom boxes, no trash! Spectacular location and views, best place for snorkeling on this Island, kindest staff, delicious food - it’s truly a peaceful paradise here… it’s very diffident from the rest of Seychelles… and I am very grateful to have had opportunity to call this my home and my little slice of heaven in Indian Ocean. I stayed in one of the stunning hilltop chalets and in their gorgeous “African” room, falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of crashing waves and tropical scents all around. I want to thank manager Lindy and all the generous staff of Patatran for giving me this time to recuperate and decompress in this serene location after thousands of miles through African dust. When I return to Seychelles, I won’t be staying in any other place, but here.

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant, Chalets de Palma is set in La Digue. With a garden, the hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Every room comes with a balcony. The best thing about this property is by far the host (Nadine). She is very kind and responsive and will help with all matters when in La Digue (recommendations for best places to visit, best places renting bikes, calling taxis). We even had a medical emergency (allergic reaction) and she acted so promptly to assist. also has the best Jams in the world.

Hotel Chateau St Cloud, Mountain View Hotel, and Hotel L'Ocean got great room view-related reviews from travelers in La Digue.
It’s a beautiful island with stunning beaches , forest and giant tortoises. However it’s overpriced and overall service is of a low standard many times slow with no smile or no interest to make customer happy . It’s hard to get a good clean food . There are some nice takeaways though and lovely people who try to do their best but it’s not a majority . Many shops have no prices on items . Water is not potable and the cheapest price for 12 bottles of 1l is around 15 Eur . It’s not good destination for snorkelling as corals are very damaged and majority is bleached . Nevertheless it’s advertised as a place with stunning corals so we felt cheated when we discovered a reality of a reef . It’s still possible to see some sea animals like turtles , sting rays , tropical fish but not in abundance. We dived as well 2x but as we didn’t like much diving and they seem to us overpriced (220 for 3 tanks ) so we didn’t do more. I personally prefer Indonesia or Maledives for snorkelling or diving . Trips are also extremely expensive - such as 70 Eur for half day of snorkelling trip . It’s a small island and transport is mainly by bicycle (it’s necessary to pay attention at lorries and taxis when cycling ) Overall, I think it’s good to visit for beach and nature lovers , max 1 week . It’s not good destination for snorkelling. We stayed 12 days- it was too long . It’s nice to see beaches but we wouldn’t return .
La Digue is an absolute paradise. White isolated sands, turquoise sea surrounded by lush greenery and huge granite rocks. The locals are extremely friendly and the shops, restaurants are a joy to spend time in.
La Dique is totaly different and special place in Seychelles. We came back after 10 years and is still beautiful. You can rent bike (150 rupies per day) and driver around whole island. Giant turtles you can meet in many places in nature, park.. feed them with fruits banana and they will walk by you like a dog:) My small kids love it Enough good restaurant everywhere..
La Digue was a great place to visit. Bycicles were easy to hire, which is an asset if wanting to explore the island. A street map would have made it easier for navigating... although a small island, it was easy to lose direction in the suburbs. A map indicating safe beaches available within easy reach of the Main Street would have improved our stay. The beach we cycled to, (approximately 45 minutes of up hill cycling) had ‘dangerous for swimming’ signs. Beautiful non the less!
A small cozy island, perfect for active entertainment: cycling, hiking, snorkeling. Almost no beaches for swimming (or aquashoes/fins required), but gorgeous nature views. My top of the beaches: 1. Grand Anse 2. Anse Source d'Argent 3. Anse Patates Bonus: Glorious Bakery has very delicious pizza!
The most relaxed and beautiful island - small, so its easy to explore and revisit favourite areas. One day we hired a bike SCR150 & tricycle SCR250 from Logans near the Police station and had a wonderful time gently cycling all the way up along the coast round to Chez Jules, and also down to Union Estate and Mimi's Cafe. On another day we explored the Union Estate and Anse Source D'Argent beach which is amazing. Nice to have clean toilets near the beach too.
La Digue
We enjoyed our stay at Hibiscus so much. The room was clean and everything well equipped (including the kitchen and towels also for beach). Jenitta and Alica were very kind and helpful with everything. They also provide free pick up and drop off at jetty and the wifi connection was very good too. The location is perfect as it is close to the center but also to one of the nicest beach - Anse Source d'Argent. They also took care of renting bikes for us. Once back in Seychelles, we will definitely book this accomodation again.
La Digue
We had a great stay. Nancy welcomed us at arrival and showed the apartment to us. The location was great (just 5 mins from the ferry) and just around the corner of the best bakery (famous bakery) in Seychelles. It it very closed to the main street, but still very quiet. The apartment was cozy, clean and tiny and had everything we needed. There was also a place to leave and lock our bikes. La Digue is a pretty and beautiful small island and a must-see when you are in Seychelles.
La Digue
The accomodation is located at the inner side of the island, very close to the ferry and the centre. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is located in a silent street a bit away from the greater resorts but closer to the local people living. It has a very great looking clean garden with separate kind of trees. The location was not noisy at all, it was great for relaxation. The breakfast was one of the best we had on Seychelles, being simple but still tasty.
La Digue
Considering Coral Apartments is one of the more budget friendly options on La Digue, we were pleasantly surprised by just how good and comfortable the accommodation was. The rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. The bed is comfortable, the shower is strong, and the wifi was reliable. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and all you need. Check in and check out was very easy and the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay again.
La Digue
of the six accommodations we had in Seychelles over a month, that was the most expensive and most disappointing . we liked: - the partial sea view - the sparkling wine and flower we had for San valentine - the owner who waited for us at the jetty to help with the luggage and help us further in the check out day to the next accommodation - the washing machine -a good tip for the renting bikes -the garden is nice
La Digue
The manager, Nadine, was extremely helpful, offering us a fresh fruit juice during check-in. She arranged for our rental bikes to be delivered to our cottage. She also made it possible for us the check out late and have our luggage transferred to our next hotel (belongs to the same owner). The cottage also offered beach towels and was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers.
The room was beautiful and clean. It has been designed well. It’s bright, cozy and relaxing. The internet speed was superior to other properties we’ve been to. The staff, especially those who were in the restaurant, were very polite. The breakfast was the best we had in La Digue. The Italian Restaurant serves good dinner, too. We even ate there twice.
La Digue
Location and very peaceful accommodation with modern interiors and very clean.Nice host and arrange the taxi pickup to and from jetty area.If ever back la digue,we will stay here again.
