Boasting an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant, Chalets de Palma is set in La Digue. With a garden, the hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Every room comes with a balcony. The stay was exceptionally beautiful. Upon arrival, we received a welcome drink and a small ice towel that was particularly pleasant in the heat. Our apartment was newly built with a luxurious interior. The breakfast was amazing and rich. The pool had pleasing cold water compared to the very warm water in the sea. The apartments were in a forest and this protected us from heat air. The staff was very pleasant. Overall, the quality of accommodation, surroundings and services was excellent and highly above the price.

Upon our arrival we got a very warm welcome and due to an foot injury we also got offered to get a on-room breakfast service! The location next to the National Park was perfect. Also was the apartment located at a very nice beach spot underneath the trees! Despite the partially negative comments we always got a very friendly and quick response to all our concerns which have also been acted upon! Overall we can recommend to stay at the Luxury Beach Bungalow and regret that we didn’t stay longer!

The most beautiful, special, amazing Island in Seychelles. It is filled with treasures - you just have to look for them. Super family vibe, after 1 2 days you already know everyone. If you like to feel at home - that's your place !
Believe it or not, don't be misinterpret small island like La Digue for a day trip or 2, we have been mistaken! I would stay here for 3 days at least, there is so much to do and see, snorklings, cycling on the coast, sunset, hikes, see one of the best beaches and many more.
La Digue is a calm serene place. But our Hotel Chalet Bamboo applies our stay. Hotel was the worst place. Staff was impolite and unprofessional. Food quality was pathetic. Extra security of 100 euro was asked from us . Rooms were inspected as if we were there to steal their stuff.
Small relaxing island with only few cars on the roads make it easy to get around with a bicycle. The beauty of the beaches and the sea. Very friendly people. The takeaway food , my favourite place is MI MUM’S at La Passe.
La Digue is very controversial island, which we have visited two times two following years. The island contains wonderful beaches and resorts, but also loads of garbage and dirt. Our last visit shows, that business approach prevails over healthy environment. The difference from last year is enormous increase of house construction, and tremendous increase in polluting traffic mainly of old trucks. We loved La Digue because of quiteness, no conventional cars and cleanliness. Unfortunately, the upcoming trend is all but not what I have mentioned previously. LA Digue is an island of great opposites. On one side there are luxurious lodges and resorts on the other poor slums in the middle of the island. Island is now benefiting from increase of turism, and the bussines is effectively missusing it. Eating in a local restaurant is not even affordable for a wealthy European. Ordinary spaghetti can be above 300 Rupies, which is equal to 20 Euros. If you rent a bike, in majority of case you would be given incredible old crap. This year was our last year at La Digue. We are going to search for another island, where sustainable growth and approach toward nature win against greedines and only business oriented people. Plus: beaches, warm people Minus: 1. Enormous amounts of tourist 2. Extremely expensive restaurants 3. Expensive inadequate accommodation 4. Hugh polluted traffic 5. Corals all over Seychels are dead, thus underwater life is vanishing 6. Everything becoming business oriented, not people oriented 7. Incredible unacceptable raise of house / hotel constructions
La Digue is amazing, when riding a bike through the alleys and tropical forest it almost feels unreal. The beaches are amazing - clean and not crowded (except for Anse Source d’Argent, which is really overrated and smells like public toilet).

The villa is a masterpiece of woodwork, combining top infrastructure that meets highest european standards (the kitchen is awesome!) with local construction elements. The first floor is entirely made of wood and I liked best the opening to the outside with the extended roof - it's always open but always stays dry. I enjoyed sitting on the sofa there and reading while it rained outside (on the photos there is garden furniture, they replaced it with 2 sofas). In front of the house there is a beautiful garden with giant turtles that live there and trees where you can pick fresh fruit. The house is in a very quiet, green and natural area of the island. With the bicycles we rented from our landlord/lady (new and in perfect condition), we could easily do our daily trips to all parts of the island. The landlord/lady were always very helpful, helped us organize trips and helped out where they could. We even found the dishes washed up and the house cleaned 2 times when we got back home - I've never had that in a rented house. It was by far the best holiday accomodation I've ever had!
La Digue
The property is in the forest with amazing views. You need to walk uphill (not that difficult) to reach it, but then you are rewarded with an amazing view. The chalet has a big living area & kitchen, then downstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. Everything was very clean. Also, lots of utensils and appliances to use in the kitchen. Lastly both Frederick and Doreen are super hosts, ready to help with everything one would need during the stay. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay with Agnes! She was so helpful and organised everything for us from start to finish. The juice on arrival was delicious, breakfast was great too, having the rents bikes brought to us, booking taxi etc. She even upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which was a real treat! If you stay in La Digue, I highly recommend Agnes Cottage. It’s also about 3 minutes from L’union Estate!

We communicated with Elna before arrival - she provided all needed info. We did not have problems finding this place - just 10 minutes walk from the jetty. As there were 7 of us we occupied :-) the whole house. Great place! very authentic, beautiful and clean. Elna showed everything around, gave important advices, arranged bike rental. Next time we will stay at this place again.
