I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights during a solo workation in Istanbul. Before booking, I spent quite a bit of time researching different neighborhoods and also asked local friends for recommendations. Based on their advice, I chose this hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. One of the things that made my stay special was the hospitality. It’s always nice when the owner is actively involved, and Özgür was a wonderful host. He took the time to explain a lot about the city and shared valuable local tips, including the best places to exchange money, visit, and experience Istanbul like a local. Throughout my stay, he and his family consistently made me feel welcome, and by the end of the trip, the hotel felt more like a home than a place to stay. The location is another major advantage. Istanbul is a city of hills, and the hotel is conveniently situated downhill from the city center. After spending evenings exploring Taksim and other lively areas, it was surprisingly pleasant to walk back downhill rather than face a steep climb. Also bus stops are few minutes away. My room was always clean and well-maintained. What stood out most to me was that everything worked exactly as it should, especially the shower. It may sound like a small detail, but reliable water pressure and temperature are not always guaranteed, even in some luxury hotels. As someone working remotely, I also appreciated the excellent Wi-Fi. Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls worked flawlessly throughout my stay, with no connectivity issues. The surrounding area has everything you need. There are several grocery stores just a minute away, as well as local restaurants and kebab shops within a short walk. The Himalayan Restaurant, about five minutes away, is exceptional and well worth a visit. Many other well-known dining spots can be reached on foot in around ten minutes. I will return to Istanbul, and when I do, I already know where I’ll be staying.

Probably my new favorite place to stay when in Turkey! I really like that it had a microwave which helped me save money since i have a tendency to not finish food the first go around. I also love how quiet and clean it was, I felt comfortable, very comfortable and not like a bug would pop up and scare me. I also love that the building is family owned! It feels nice supporting a business.

Convenient location, Kind and helpful staff and great service If I had a chance to go back to Istanbul, I will stay in the same hotel

Great little spot in the middle of the action. Comfy bed, decent WiFi, you can walk anywhere and the metro is nearby. Point extra for the AMAZING staff who were kind, funny and super helpful with information

Good hotel, good location, good price.

Everything was perfect. Super. Friendly staff.

Exellent staff, good location, worth its money

I stayed at Grand Star Hotel from June 15–20 and had a great experience. The hotel has the best location near Taksim, with a beautiful sea view from my room. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the staff were friendly. As a nice gesture, they gave me a tarte as a goodbye gift. I really enjoyed my stay!

Perfect location, clean room, quite place, nice staff

Love that the sauna is open late and bar.

Staff, cleanliness, breakfast , lovely tea

I had an amazing experience at La Pazza Suit! The service was exceptional, and the suit was absolutely stunning. The quality, attention to detail, and fit were all top-notch. A special thank you to Deniz for helping us and making the process so seamless. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something truly special!

Breakfast was not noted for my stay but it didn't matter as there were local cafes and places within the block. Coffee was in room if needed.
