Life time experience to shop around here in Grand Bazaar. Everyone was so friendly and down to earth. Got to remember which part of the City you have been entered in the Bazaar otherwise you will never be able to get out.
Another must-see, even though for our standards some vendors are quite pushy... A lot of goodies are expensive (jewelry, carpets,...) ,while some shops were selling fake stuff or bad taste poor quality souvenirs
Istanbul is the largest tourist city in Turkey, and it is the only city in the world in which you find all the vital facilities, such as Istiklal Street, Otakoy Corniche, the Bosphorus Strait, its wonderful view, and many recreational facilities and cultural landmarks in this beautiful city.
Prices a lot high in this place don’t bother go grand bazar try local shops first they will give you same thing for less and offcourse you have to do a lot bargain in Istanbul everyone wants to rip you off.
Over hyped for sure. Grand Bazaar is an awesome place if you like touristy spots, and convenient if you want to buy all your Turkish souvenirs in one spot. Buy yourself a hand carry luggage and fill it up to the brim. The hand carry luggage should be around 100 Turkish Lira. All your souvenirs should be a total of around a couple of thousand Lira. Other than that there were a lot of fake/knockoff high fashion replicas. Be ready to haggle your way and shop till you drop.
Everywhere was a dream come true. Dont walk alone at night. Safe during the day. Ask for prices and never give them the first price theyll give you tea until they convince. But evrything at the bazaar is worth it. The pistachio candy!
The property is located in the old part of the city, very near Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace and walking distance to the Grand Bazaar. The hotel is in a side street, and at night it was surprisingly quiet which I really liked. Lots of dining options around the hotel. Service was excellent. As a bonus, the hotel also had a spacious dining area one can sit in to have a quiet coffee, or have a small meeting. They also offer an airport transport service which was very convenient if you have an early flight.
The location is just perfect, walking distance from all the main mosques, 10-15 min walking from Sultan Ahmet Mosque, same to Grand Bazaar, not so far from Egypt Bazaar. Special thanks to the terrace/restaurant manager Hassan, he’s very friendly, so much attentive, morning Turkish coffee was one of the best. Thanks to all the guys at the reception. The PCR test can be done in the hotel, no need to go and look for the laboratory. We’d definitely choose Florenta hotel for our next stay in Istanbul!
Breakfast was delisious, however you have to get up earlier than last 30 minutes of breakfast, since you will not get the whole available food, it would be over. Location is above all expectiations: in 5-minute walk you could reach Bosphorus, Grand Bazaar, Heart of Istanbul and great restaurants with authentic food, which is a must to try every day! We are very glad to be in Istanbul and in the hotel and in this location. We will definitely visit again
This was our second stay at the White House hotel. It has a great location with lots of restaurants nearby. It's within short walking distance from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, and the Grand Bazaar. The owner (Harun) and his staff are very friendly and helpful. They made sure our stay was as comfortable and stress-free as possible. We have very fond memories of our short stay there. We love Istanbul and are sure we'll be back again.
It was close to the metro and tram(5min) 2 stops with the tram for the Grand bazaar. 4 stops with the tram for The Blue Mosque. Hotel is perfect for wholesale. The neighbourhood is about wholesale. Hotel was very clean everyday they clean your room, you get new towels. Staff was friendly. They help you with your luggage. Breakfast was good. Enought mirrors for the lady’s. You can do your make-up and check your outfit perfectly.
That s great hotel with extremely friendly staff. The room was comfortable and clean. It is in a very good location next to tram station.10 minute walk to Grand Bazaar. Breakfast is good enough. Wi-fi is reliable.
The hotel looks nice, fits the boutique-style. Liked the breakfast, however simple, the Turkish fried eggs were delicious. It is situated in the middle of Old Istanbul – 5 min walk to Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar.
Excellent hotel for any first timer in Istanbul. Well located in Fatih, near all the major touristic sites like Aya Sofia, Blue mosque or Grand Bazaar. The breakfast was good, especially sitting at the terrace.
My room was spacious and super clean. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The hotel is close to the Grand Bazaar, Haguia Sophia, tram, etc. There is a safe in the room. The staff was very friendly.
Excellent location. Walking distance to grand Bazaar. Hotel staff extremely friendly.
Grand Bazar is just for visiting not for shopping as costs are higher here. The funny thing is that everything is about negotiation in shops or on the streets. You will have a big surprise that the final price you are paying it is with 30% - 50% less. I.e. Turkish yoyo on the street is 5TL but if you offer 2.5 TL you're gone have it :) Good look.
Visit The Grand Bazaar in the evening, before closing to avoid the crowd. For the rest of sightseeing afternoon around 3-5 pm is the least crowded time.
A large number of retail stores near by Sultanahmet, Cemberlitas and Grand bazar selling genuine leather shoes, they are offering latest models and a large number of brands at very good prices.
One can experience the contrast of the 1001 night feel of the grand bazaar to the slick city state of the art shopping malls , and to an antique flea market in the French quarter . A unique city
Grand bazaar is amazing but good luck getting round without being hassled
The atmosphere. You can find most of these things in other places but not in market places with such heady atmosphere as in Istanbul. It is an experience to spend time in Grand Bazaar even if you buy nothing. Shopping areas in India, my country, are equally interesting but they tend to be dirty and full of traps like potholes and overflowing drains. Istanbul has the atmosphere without these problems. The place we liked most was Arasta Bazaar near the Blue Mosque.
