It is easy to find parking with plenty of spaces in front of the hotel. My wife loves how clean the room is. My kids are super happy with the speed and coverage of the internet. As a family, the location is good and the breakfast was delicious. I hope the management praises the staff well. They are proactive, friendly yet not noisy type.

    There are some great breweries in town, such as Fidens and Common Roots. I would also recommend Stacks espresso for coffee or breakfast sandwiches. Also worth walking around Empire State Plaza and checking out the New York State Museum as well as the large art installations below the plaza itself. The state capitol building is also very neat, although two sides of it were under construction while I was in town. If you're traveling through on the train as I was, there is a bus that will pick you up across from the train station that drops you off in downtown. It runs every 40 minutes or so.

    Albany felt safe to walk around.

    Albany felt safe to walk around. There were a few side streets, I wish I didn't walk down, but after spending time exploring, we were able to learn the streets fairly quickly. We were able to park at our hotel and then walk around the neighborhood, it appears if we had parked on the street, it would have been a nightmare, so i def recommend finding someplace to park and is not far from where you are staying. We stayed at the Morgan State House, parked in a secure lot behind the Morgan State House (only $10 a night) and walked up the street towards the Egg to see our show. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at "Dove and Deer", as well as "Rosanna's". Breakfast we enjoyed "Iron Gate Cafe". All within walking distance. Everywhere we ate we were able to walk in and be served after waiting no more than 10 minutes. It was a nice relaxing weekend.

    Albany like most large cities can be complex with beautiful...

    Albany like most large cities can be complex with beautiful sites and activities and some not so much. It is a perfect base for exploring the city and around it where the Nature is so incredible. Nice food, people, shopping and historical downtown. Yes, it can be gritty with urban issues, poverty. But that's sadly a part of big city life. Each time there I am struck by the friendliness of many people there. I think the value is high too. A lot of things to do and see but not at high costs, hotels for instance are really reasonable, even cheap. I Love New York.

    Albany may be a great place to visit, however, NEVER stay at the skanky airport motel 6, and NEVER make reservations through BOOKING.COM if you want to be treated properly and fairly. BOOKING.COM is simply a facilitator used by rouge businesses to steal your money when the business falsely advertises their service or product and then claims that BOOKING.COM collected your payment and therefore must agree to reimburse you for the bad product or service. Don't be fooled and then ripped off like my family was!!

    The room was clean but the bed was awful!

    The room was clean but the bed was awful! Needs to be replaced! The breakfast was pitiful…a bagel and coffee…meager at best! The price was acceptable but when you add on having to go out for breakfast and then not sleeping because of the bad bed it wasn’t worth it. And the picture on the booking site sure didn’t look like the one we stayed in. Would not stay here again!

    They have refused to refund my 3 nights security deposit...

    They have refused to refund my 3 nights security deposit which i paid with my debit card and it was deducted as a payment and not held. Anytime i call their front desk they refer me to managers who are not in the offices. Now they are completely ignoring my calls!

    All was as expected. The hotel was a little dated, but clean comfortable and well located in the town. there is an 18 dollar parking fee which I hadn't seen previously but they valet park so fair enough. Breakfast was standard American buffet but nice enough. Staff were very nice and kindly refunded our parking due to a car alarm sounding al night.

    The location is very good, close to the airport and to Wolf Rd where there are plenty of restaurants and a shopping mall. The breakfast choice is limited, the portions are moderate but food quality is ok. The hotel is new, clean, the rooms are spacy. Windows have good noise isolation.
