United StatesThere were quite a few things I loved. First off the day we checked in I got a morning phone call because I screwed up the booking. I got 1 bed for 3 adults (1 single and 1 couple). Eeek. That would have been bad lol. But it thankfully was caught by the staff! We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The pool are was very clean. I don’t have kids but it was very cool to see a small indoor playground and a few other activities. Our room was average and clean. The beds were very comfortable. I haven’t been to a hotel with beds that comfortable in a while. All the staffs were kind and pleasant.

United StatesThe location of this cabin was convenient with proximity to restaurants and town for shopping. It felt calm and safe and provided a nice walking environment for us and our dog. Communication was prompt and easy. Cabin was very clean with everything we needed for a relaxing few days!

Alpena is a lovely waterfront city on Lake Huron.
Alpena is a lovely waterfront city on Lake Huron. We enjoyed a couple of interesting brewpubs, the downtown shopping district, and the maritime museum. Countryside was beautiful; in addition to the Great Lake views there are interesting smaller lakes, lovely forests and farmlands, and unique natural sink holes with explanatory brochures. It has nice city parks with pickleball, tennis, basketball courts, picnic areas, and beaches.

The weather was rainy and chilly but we still found enough...
The weather was rainy and chilly but we still found enough to do. The maritime museum was great. 15 minutes away was Dinosaur gardens which the grandchildren really enjoyed. And lots of places to just walk and see things.If you don’t eat fast food like us not many sit down places with reasonable prices. Overall it was good.

It a beautiful town.
It a beautiful town. I love exploring the Bridge and the Water Tower. It so much relaxing. I especially love checking out the light houses. It was a short stay but next time I would love to explore in the area.

Be sure to visit the Art at the loft.
Be sure to visit the Art at the loft. Amazing Mural's in town. Couldn't order pizza to room unless you used Door Dash and the prices were all expensive. Restaurant in Hotel did not open till after 4:00pm

We were able to do lots of day trips to other places in...
We were able to do lots of day trips to other places in Northern Michigan. Alpena, itself, has some fun things to do - and a great, free beach. We really enjoyed the glass bottom shipwreck tour - and there are lots of restaurants, breweries, and a great cidery in town.
We spent a lot of time watching birds in the bay from our backyard. Very relaxing.

Nice place, have stayed there many times.
Nice place, have stayed there many times. It had been fully restored a few years ago.they seen to be falling behind on the maintenance of the place.
All and all, I had a good stay and the room/ bathroom was good. I will stay there again!

The layout of the hotel is very cool, it was clean, quiet and everyone was very friendly. we had thought that the shuttle to the airport was out of service, but when we went downstairs it was up and running and the gentleman that gave us a ride was super nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, it had lots of basic options and was presented well, and all of the extras such as the childrens play area, pool table and miniature golf were a nice touch for families.

Breakfast is the normal hotel breakfast,it was good,had a decent selection to eat and drink,room was the standered room,cozy and quite and clean,never used the pool or anything of the such,there was a clerk at the front desk named Lisa martell,she was amazing to say the least,very helpful and friendly, she deserves a raise

Traveled to area for family reunion. Not ADA compliant, but I was aware of this. Basic small room with a bed and bathroom. Did include small fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker with supplies. Bed soft, linen clean and overall rooms were adequate. Owners are very nice, accommodating as much as possible.

The room was spacious with comfortable bed, comfortable bedding (sheets, etc.), as well as very soft and absorbent towels. Mini refrigerator was plugged in and very cold. Many hotels often have unplugged, warm frig. Room was clean. Noise was very minimal. Very good internet service. Breakfast was very good.
