Kimpton - Hotel Arras, an IHG Hotel, Cambria Hotel Downtown Asheville, and The Inn On Biltmore Estate got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Asheville.
We went to Asheville mainly to visit the Biltmore Estate. I would highly recommend making that a destination. It was beautiful and fascinating to see. Downtown Ashville was lively with plenty to see and do. So many restaurants to choose from all within easy walk of the center. We also visited the North Carolina Arboretum and were pleasantly surprised by the size and the beauty.
Asheville has a ton to do for every type of traveler. We like to walk and hike and there were lots of options close by. The blue ridge pkwy was a beautiful drive. There are neat shops downtown but it is a bit congested. You would probably be best off to park in the garage as parking meters downtown are not on a phone app so you need quarters. We needed more time to do everything. The Red Stag Grill is great for a romantic dinner and Biltmore Mansion is a must. You could spend a couple days there exploring all they have to offer. It is a beautiful place with lots of mature trees and flowers and great weather. I would even consider moving there
Asheville is simply beautiful. It’s easy to navigate, the downtown area has a lot to offer & there’s always something happening. One of the surprising characteristics of Asheville is the variety of bands that play here. Unlike a lot of cities in the area (like Charleston and Savannah); many more bands stop over in Asheville. Fantastic indie music scene. We use to outside the area but drove to Asheville to see: Bright Eyes, Jack White and Ministry to name a few.
We stopped here two nights and visited the Biltmore Estate. It was a great experience. We didn't have time to see the River arts district since we arrive after 5pm on the first night. Asheville is one of the entrance point to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was a fantastic drive the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville through the Shenandoah Parkway in VA. We enjoyed Ashville, they have lots of great restaurants.
Asheville has so many options for active people wanting to connect more with nature. Biking, hiking, walking, touring, kayaking, horseback riding…all in the fresh mountain air. The streets downtown can be a bit crowded during the day and parking can be difficult at times. The majority of parking is paid as well, but it’s easy enough to download an app to pay by the hour. Local artisans display their crafts everywhere. Beer lovers will enjoy the assortment of breweries in the area. They all have a different vibe and a variety of styles. My favorites were Burial (they have phenomenal dark beers) and Curses Keme (the property is chill and adorable.) Self-proclaimed “foodies” will be able to indulge in various cuisines and coffee shops. It’s just a lovely, lovely town.
We stayed at the Lofts at 16 Church Street for the third time. We like this centrally located area - within walking distance to River Arts District, restaurants, breweries, shopping, etc. Easy short drives to hiking trails, North Carolina Arboretum (beautiful!), Biltmore, Nature Center, and many other attractions.
The location was excellent, right in the middle of downtown Asheville. The staff was 100% responsive to any requests. The room was quiet and clean, with a great view! The food and service at Hemingway’s was excellent. The hotel was also within walking distance of several nearby hiking/walking trails.
Breakfast was very good. Very clean facility and will definitely stay there again! Your pillows are the best!!!!! Loved them. Staff very friendly and professional. Will recommend this place to anyone traveling to Asheville.
Loved the hotel. Great location with quick access to downtown Asheville. It's your typical IGH hotel. Great value for money as well. We did get a free upgrade to a suite when checking in, which was a great bonus to receive!
Location was as good as it gets for walking to anything downtown, Staff was more than accommodating and so very pleasant and thoughtful. And the hotel was just beautifully appointed. Loved the prompt valet service too.
This is a terrific newer hotel in downtown Asheville. Walking distance to everything downtown. The staff were professional, friendly and kind. The rooms and modern and clean. We had a wonderful stay.
